  • 2 mins in the video, and he said nothing about the car, omg

  • Beautiful car. It looks a bit more "grown-up" than the Mito.

  • Dodge Dart.

  • I like the hidden 4-dr styling!!

  • sdksdh

  • What about the 8c competizione

  • The new dodge dart is going to be a guilietta with revised aggressive styling - its gonna rock - launched next month !

  • Hello yahoo users! i was waiting for you!

  • Looks like a coupe from some angels. Stunning badge!

  • I can't wait til Alfa is reintroduced stateside. They need to change the front though. The styling isn't befitting for an aggressive car.

  • fantastic :)

  • My VW Golf GTI have too much problems, I am desperate...GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!

  • Very nice review, sir. I like when people review cars who actually have the experience and knowledge to give some real knowledge.

  • It's ironic that Alfa fans always purr about how beautiful Alfas are yet every Alfa since the chrome bumpered Alfetta Coupe of the 70s has been as ugly as an ape's anus.

  • why are motoring journos so fucking fat?

  • the 2010-present Alfa Romeo Giulietta is assembled in

Cassino – Piedimonte San Germano, Italy

  • The back`s fantastic but the front doesnt look good, doesnt match the back of the car!

  • Some people who buy Ford Focuses and Volkswagen Golfs only buy them because they NEED them.

Most people who but Alfa Romeo hatchbacks like the 147 and the Giulietta buy them because they WANT them.

Alfa Romeos were built by people who put aesthetics above practicality so that's why they don't get everything right. The Guilietta like the Fiat 500 is nothing more than an accessory.

I'm surprised how Alfa Romeo still survives in such desperate times like today where practicality is priority.

  • Really hope this car sells well. Hope that VW keep the greedy hands off Alfa.

  • @ruddypeasant when VW acquires a car company they respect its essence, like the Mulsanne. However, when an AMERICAN car company takes over it, like GM, you should start panicking:)

I actually hope VW would take over it, so then they would pump it with money and make cars that stands out and represent their brand like bugatti and Lamborghini

  • @Desmonddd2002 well I disagree. I think the anti-American vibe is more to do with your own prejudices. I would worry more if a Chinese company bought it. e.g Roewe

VW have sucked the soul out of Lamborghini. Bugatti were famous for lightweight. Ettore Bugatti joked that Bentley's cars were 'the fastest trucks in the world' - something I think quite apt for the Veyron. Bentleys are now completely grotesque without class or taste. You have the right to your opinion, but you are wrong :-)

  • @ruddypeasant When Lamborghini launched the Aventador, Lamborghini maintains that the Flagship lambo would always use a V12 as its engine, despite all the eco talk now (put aside eco-prob. now). When they launched the new mulsanne for bentley, they retained the 6.75 Liter twin turbo charged V8 despite the fact that the car can be powered by another equally impressive and eco-friendly engine. Show me some good examples of the american?

  • @Desmonddd2002 Ford did a good job with Jaguar and Aston Martin although they were a bit proscriptive with the designs. I think that it would be much more prosciptive with the Germans tbh. There's no British engineering in Bentley or RR anymore but there was plenty at Jag etc. Everything would come in a box from Germany if VW bought Alfa. Just more of the same platform sharing. The Fabia vrs, audi a1, seat ibiza, vw polo gti and alfa mito would all be the same. all german. all souless.

  • @Desmonddd2002 When Chrysler owned Lamborghini they made the Diablo. A car with soo much character like the Lambos of old! The new ones are not like Ferrucio intended imo. They're seriously quick, but too sanitised. No drama or theatre anymore.

  • Alfa romeo have always attracted the attention of envious VW and Bmw fans and always will, ciao

  • At 0:59 Why do taillights fade? Is he touching brake pedal or ESP?

  • @ozgkrc ı am not sure about the answer but ı noticed that, if the lights are LEDs they seem like fading in videos. I've seen this before in different car videos.

  • @MegaErda look to 0.33 you will see the front LEDs are also fading..

  • Alfa can never rival VW its nicly done and all that but its to expensive and doesnt have VW reliability. its a really thirsty car too. this model its a improvement no doubt but it got a long way to catch up with VW. ........I would have loved to see Alfa interior on a VW .

  • @MeMo5682 ; Wrong, VW are crapping themselves with the new stream of Italian cars so much so that if you

google you will find that VW has been trying to buy Alfa romeo from the italians for the past Year.

  • @MeMo5682 ; Well actually Alfa are as reliable as any VW from the past 10 years, you won't see any VW tecnicians sitting around all day twiddling their thumbs outside of normal servicing, they are very busy like most

    garages these days.

Alfa have been galvanising their cars for the past 15 years and using Bosch parts so if you had owned one before posting rubbish you'd have know all of this.

  • @TheForza1000

I would like to belive you but sorry ........................Alfa Romeo its just not worth buying it . This car is depreciate so quick not to mention that past 60 thousand Km this cars stats giving all kinds of problems and very few alfas make it over 200 THousand Km which is no problem with any German cars. It costs more to run a alfa than a Mercedes.

This is not jus me talking rubish smart ass check the reviews about alfas the latest Spyder gets only 2 stars same as Great Wall.

  • @MeMo5682 ; Well thats easy, don't buy one...its all about the driving and owning not how many stars it has or if some office bod from what car or which mag says the Toyota Aygo is the worlds best car..enjoy your dull German car, i can say that from experience seeing as i would only drive German brands until i discovered the Italian brands are so much more interesting and 100 times better looking...

  • I cant understand why compact car like this would must be tests in a track? Thats the stupidest think ever....

  • its gonna get a pdk?? thats the porsche gear box....

  • Ehi guys, ALFA IS BAAAACK!

  • Alfa romeo are just good looking cars with nice sound!!!

  • Is there only one bend in that track ?!!

  • My company car is a Fiat grande punto, and the steering wheel looks similar so i pretend its one of these. It makes me feel better.

  • The Guilietta is more man like than the romeo mito

    beautiful car

  • an add for the Guilietta says "so desirable even journalists fall in love with her"

  • Comment removed

  • Alfa is a good looking car all right but it looses value faster than a jumbo jet with no wings

  • Rims on this model make it look like a mazda

  • there is a lot written about design and good taste , good design is not subjective. Alfa designers know everything about good taste so...be carfefull before talking about this "ugly" or "not beautifull" car.

  • there is a lot written about design and good taste , good design is not subjective. Alfa designers know everything about good taste so...be carfefull before talking about this "ugly" or "not beautifull" car.

  • This car isn't Ugly, No Small Hatch looks better than this!

  • However, even as Alfa Fan you have to admit it is one of the less beautiful cars Alfa has built so far.

  • SKOROB; YOU OWN A SKODA...Nuff said

  • 2010 WHAT CAR? RELIABILITY SURVEY:

    ALFA ROMEO

    31st out of 32

    Last year’s position 28th out of 30

    Cars needing repair work 47%

    Average repair cost £420

    Star model 166 (’99-’05)

Alfa has a poor track record in our reliability surveys. This year its worst model, the GTV (’96-’03), recorded a shocking 77 failures per 100 cars, with the GT (’05-) just behind at 68 per 100. Just under a third of all Alfa failures were down to the axles and suspension, with engine faults the next biggest issue.

  • @skorob2010 Why are you repeating this in several videos? Are you working for Skoda?

  • @xaviqaz No, not at all, I am getting my own back on a virulent little troller called pinin500 who has abused me and my choice of cars for the past 3 weeks. No offence to anyone is intended, I am trying to teach him the facts - if he posts lies on skoda uploads, i will post facts on alfa/lanci ones.

  • @skorob2010

These so called facts are close to nothing.

They are made by companies, to companies who wants to show their brand as a good buy.

I have a AR166 2004 model and there are no problems with it, and if something is broken it can be fixed.

I just laugh at these surveys, most reliable car or whatnot.

There is nothing like reliable car in the world, every machine can broke, no matter who made it or what brand does it wear.

TBH i hate all the skoda's i ever drove, rubish interior ftw

  • Another alfa forum unreliability woe:

I was warned before hand by several people that alfas are notorious for their electrical faults but chose not to pay attention, within a matter of 2-3 months everything started going wrong! first one of the brake lights went out-fixed that but then the parking registration light stopped working-fixed that but THEN the lights inside the car boot failed! having them the cam-belt went!its just been problem after problem!

Giuliettas - sooo alfa, soo unreliable

  • @skorob2010 ; HAHAHA HOW THE SKODA....HOW THE TROLLING GOING, HAHHAHAHAHAHA

    YOU OWN A SKODA...NUFF SAID......

  • its actually a sexier version of the golf 6

  • i like the back look but not the front is more like cayman

  • cannot wait i get mine tomorrow any1 jelous lol

  • 10 people own a golf

  • Amazing!!!!

  • Stunning car!

Only Alfa can make a beautiful family hatch.

People should buy this insead of the dull Golf or Focus.

    My next car for sure.

  • Hello everyone, please help us to win new Alfa Giulietta! We need your votes...

Please like Robin Renwick on realpeople.ie/voting/category/Graduate!!!

  • It doesn't look brilliant to be honest. Alfa have done much better in the past. Hell, I like the 147 more than this.

  • great car

  • his lines are awful. Alfa's engines atm are amazing though

  • who the fuck is steve cropley? he's the worst person iv ever seen on autocar. explaining where he's at..... who gives a shit

  • very cheap plastic interior. if this interior was in a japanese cars, all the comments will be how bad and cheap the interior was.

  • @blackmachina are you jealous? ;)

  • Stop VW from buying Alfa romeo, 100 years of alfa greatness

  • What's with the flashing day lights and rear lights? Gives more "Alfaness" to the car?? :))

  • If Fiat bring Alfa to the US, I will trade my 335i for the Giulietta!!!!! Please Fiat bring Alfa back!!!.

  • @SUBLIMEfan111 you'd trade a 335i in for a Giulietta??? are you loosing your mind i wouldnt trade a new shape 325 in for one nevermind a 335i

  • @jonnykemp11285 Nope I really would. I want an Alfa!

  • What a fantastic car! Trully an italian beauty. :)

  • Seriously - isn't the sideline (windows) and the back lights similar to the newest Astra IV?? Compare it for Yourself.

Alfa is a very nice car though.

  • @takitoataki I think these days its hard to make something on a new car look really different since other cars are so similar....

  • Best Alfa for 25 years... not exactly a tall order given that it's an Alfa. But as long as carries the Alfa magic, I'd like to buy one.

  • I bought one :)

white with 17' pack sport and panoramic roof...

  • nice car love it

  • dont like it...dont like it at all...what does this car say about Alfa? its a limp wristed, soft and squishy family friendly nanny car

  • @MilitantOldLady

    agreed.

ive seen this car up close.

its nothing special, were is the passion???

    this is hum drum motoring.

  • Great car great history, this brand is cult

One time Alfa every time Alfa

  • Is it me or does he say "bo-log-na" instead of "bo-lo-nia"?

  • @ununoctium in italy the name is bologna!

  • this is coming in U.S. and will be replacing dodge caliber :)

  • Back end looks nice, front end looks dodgy. The Mito is better looking I think.

  • The blinking from the LED's could be caused by the camera's rolling shutter effect. You can also see it in top gear's ferrari 458 review.

  • Alfas are my favorite ones.

  • If this car is going to be fitted with a paddle shift gearbox, it won't be a driver's car anymore, it will be a car for fat properly stupid morons...

  • i want to buy Alfa year 2000 any model but some say isnt reliable car in Australia

  • @leon6266 this is an old story (and onestly a real one...) but now Alfs Romeo just like FIAT and Lancia is in the same european reliability standards just like german or french cars. If you have reliability problems this could happen on the Alfa as in any other car. But if you buy an Alfa year 2000 you are on the wrong year. FIAT group approach to reliability has changed a lot since 2004-2006 so get a 2006 model maximum.

  • is that car blinking with the headlights?:D

  • yess i have a 73 alfa romeo and in 2009 in canada(where i live) they were suposed to make some dealerships but they never did i cant wait till they do

  • yupppp i livei n canada and apprently they wer supsoed to make some alfa dealers in 2009, but we still dont have them :(

  • I've got the 147 and onestly I'm not going to sell it to get the giulietta. They have designed this car for a bigger market than Italy and secondly for Europe as any Alfa Romeo in the past. They are probably thinking already to the US market as well. With the 147 it was love at first sight... This one instead, well... it taste like a "world car", a very good one but still a world car. Its just like a good wine probably mixed with too much water.

  • please bring this beautiful machine to the US!!

  • its a wonderful car i love it

  • I LIKE IT!

  • UG...wait for it........LY!

Hate having bugs on my car, why buy a car that looks like one.

  • @TheMarlboro550 And what exactly would you call beautiful? the Vokswagen Golf? such a loser. with bad taste.

  • @u1430 There is no such thing as a beautiful car in this price range.

    Only good looking cars.

A good looking car would be the Alfa Romeo Brera/spider.

A beautiful car would be the Aston Martin dbs, but that is a different league.

The Giulietta is not good looking in my opinion, let alone beautiful.

  • @TheMarlboro550 Firstly, the Guilietta is definately the best looking car in its own segment (Focus, Golf, Megane..yawn). Second, the Aston Martin DBS is not beautiful IMO. It's got an awful nose and rather bland shape in general. In fact ,the Ferrari California and 458 italia are both beauty defined. So like i said before, you have very poor taste...

  • @u1430

I have to disagree, the volkswagen scirocco is the best looking car in its class.

And if you prefer an obnoxious ferrari over a DBS (which i have had the pleasure of testdriving last month) you clearly have no taste or style at all. I bet you prefer beer over a good bottle of wine too?

It's like saying you prefer to mary a pornstar over a classy, smart 10/10 woman.

The DBS is the epitome of style, elegance and sophistication, the ferrari a lab rat on steroids.

  • @TheMarlboro550 LOL your such a joke...The Scirocco has nothing on the stylish Guilietta (which btw is in a totally different class). Plus I'd say its the most butt ugly car VW have ever made - and most are bland. You must be some deluded anti-italian douchebag to call Ferrari's obnoxious. Astons are made for girls and wimps...At the end of the day, to most [normal] people's eyes the Italians do it best when it comes to style. It's a fact, so get over it and quit being jealous!

  • @u1430 Stylish guilietta? It has got the same back lines and everything of the new opel astra..can't even see the difference. I'm not saying its ugly, just not original.

    The front however, IS ugly..

And the guiliette will probably come out as a 2 door coupe in a year or 2, so yes i WOULD say you can compare it with a scirocco. Calling a scirocco butt ugly is nonsense.. pull up in a white scirocco with the R design package and ask 10 girls what they think about it...enough said.

  • @TheMarlboro550 The Guilietta is 100% original in every aspect. Italians don't copy. (n.b. Alfa rear door handle design copied by Honda on Civic). And btw, your initial post described the car as UGLY, so maybe you are on something afterall!

Anyway, I stand by my original view. White, black, or whatever, the Scirocco looks PIG UGLY. No colour in the world could make that car look better than a Guilietta. The font is just traditional VW bland and the rear? well it couldn't get anymore bloated...

  • @u1430 Wrong! The first car that has adopted the integrated handle in the door, was the Alfa Romeo 147. Informed before writing nonsense!

  • @DanyBuckley Excuse me? I clearly said Alfa invented the door handle design and it was copied by Honda. You obviously can't read. Back to English class you idiot!

  • @u1430 You seem to defend this car quite aggressively by the looks of it. The Scirocco is by no means whatsoever ''PIG UGLY'' but the Alfa does look more classy. Both cars are probably the two most attractive on the road atm and the Scirocco is definately a head-turner because some people have walked into lamp posts as I've driven by beacuse they were too busy staring at it

  • @u1430 btw which engine do you have on yours because I've heard really good things about the 1.4 multiair and just wondered if it really is capable of returning 50mpg like they say it can

  • @TheMarlboro550 ; The Scirocco was penned by Alfa designer Walter de Silva who was italian born and trained in Turin polytecnic like most great italian designers, the new Golf is his work along with a string of Seats...the original golf was penned by italian Giorgetto Giugaro so your fav VW'S are italian designs...

    just google and see, ciao.

  • @TheMarlboro550

".......The DBS is the epitome of style, elegance and sophistication..."........????????????

    Uahuahuahuahuahuah.... :-D

What poor taste if you like this ugly car!!

  • I LIKE THIS CAR,

I HOPE ITS AS GOOD AS THIS GUY SAIS IT IS..ALFA NEED A WINNER IN THIER STABLE.

  • shwingggggggg

  • carrao

  • THIS CAR HAS A DESIGN FLOOR DONT BUY IT!

  • @ODINSMAGICSTAFF

You know, I'd be more likely to not buy it if it DIDN'T have a floor designed in it. A flaw, on the other hand... However I am sure that somone of your incredibly important stature would have a great influence on an enormous number of people with this extraordinarily well thought out and written warning. Well done.

  • @ODINSMAGICSTAFF Pathetic. LOSER. Your probably some jealous VW fan...ALFA IS THE BEST..BETTER THAN GERMAN SO GET OVER IT!

  • The old bloke should go on reviewing nuclear power generator instead... B.O.R.I.N.G!

  • This car is a winner for sure.

  • How old is camera man.....

    he hand so shaky....

  • I seen one of these at Knockhill months before release its so beatiful

  • Lovely car. I just hope it won't be like other Alfas and be worth about four quid at three years old.

  • i got this car with the 170 hk diesel motor instead of the ferrari enzo , im so happy :)

  • this is CAR !! i wish i could buy this , its the best at this category . nice engine and high quality interior

  • I love the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta, it is one of the best city carsI have ever seen!!! Definetely number one

  • why are the rear lights flashing in accending order as well as the LED's in the front of the car they flicker, is that normal for all models of the giulietta????

  • @dccary99887 I think somehow LEDS do that if you look at it through a camera at the right angles.

  • great looking alfa - a serious contender against the golf and focus

  • 100th comment, centrinary year for alfa and what a car will be looking at either this or an audi A1 but so far have stuck to audi dealerships maybe i should visit an alfa garage aswell, dont think this has posted my earlier comment, flipping youtube to put it politely

  • Just read autocar magazine, saw a clone of the new Alfa with a merc badge on it.

Its being planned for release in the next year, its white an side profile is absolutely

identical, normally Seat tracing alfa drawings, now it looks like mercedes are having

    a go too. Swines

  • where are the beautiful 159 lights!? (:-(

  • @marcoemanuele you have never seen top gear have you

  • Amazing car, but the delivery took a couple of months...

  • Audi sucks!

  • Use Steadicam next time. This video looks like it was recorded by drunk guy in high heel woman shoes.

  • No question it's a great and modern car, but it just does not look as good as the 147, which looks amazing. I will upgrade my 147 to a 159 soon, i just don't like the front design of the Mito or Giulietta.

  • i have bought yesterday giulietta quadrifoglio verde 235 hp is fantastic!

  • @alfista1982 Dont lie :)

  • @alfista1982 HI. How many seconds it needs to get 100 km/h . I am very interested about this can.

  • @alfista1982 hah

  • @alfista1982 excellent choice my friend!!

  • If I had money this car would be in my list...sadly only second hand car for me.

  • would there be build quality issues?? because i am seriously thinkin of buying one!!

  • @CheeseWithWorms Yes. the interior doesnt really feel that good. The material quality could be much better , and fit and finish is nowhere near Golf 6 or Audi A3. It might rattle a lot after some time.

  • @derbigpr500

Says who? You? All the best car magazines say its very well put together.

Don' listeb to this guy LOL

  • We need this in the U.S. Or, more accurately, I need this in the U.S.

  • @phaethon42 The Giulietta should arrive on american market on 2013-2014.

The first car that will arrive in USA ( in the same year )will be the Giulia, the sport sedan that will replace the 159.

  • @TheAXL35784 but you drive with manual transmission? you Americans do not know how to use the change

  • @alfista1982 Guarda che sono italiano!!!! Ho postato in inglese per rispondere a phaethon42 :D

  • @phaethon42 i'm happy that americans want to buy italian cars???Why so if i may ask?:)

  • @numbtesticle Because we are sick and tired of having the same old cars, Japanese, American, and German. We don't have any Italian cars. I so wish that we could get the Fiat 500 Abarth over here as well. I wish I could be the first person to get the Giulietta! Also, my family is Italian so I am in favor of Italian cars, naturally.

  • @dudegotskills well i hope u get one:)best wishes:)

  • @numbtesticle Thanks man!

  • @phaethon42 I need one, too!

  • @phaethon42 it's actually supposed to replace the dodge caliber.. :)!

  • @phaethon42 Needs to be brought to the U.S. as a 4-door AND with very good gas mileage. Chrysler could get some respect back if they did. Otherwise, I won't be holding my breath.

  • @phaethon42 One more reason to buy an Alfa.

  • @phaethon42

Your honesty and transparency amuses us.

  • If i have money i would like to sell my 147 and buy one of this !!

  • it can't be true!!!it's fucking great!!!i must sell my147 immediiately!!

  • Funny .... Giulietta of '80s was preatty rubbish !! (which that's not true) bue the way recent Alfa production it's really preatty rubbish.

  • This car needs to be in the US

  • Comment removed

  • @JCY006 this car is italian like me and remaining in europe is not for US....manual trasmission is true alfa not automatic... but in us how do you drive an automatic transmission? is a shit automatic transmission

  • @JCY006 eheehh but you drive with manual transmission? you Americans do not know how to use the gear?

  • i feel like a burk in my 147 :( want a guiletta so badly

  • The front of the car is sexy, the rear is like...God himself made it at day 8 before he went to "rest"...

  • best car ever, this car is better than Serie 1 or Audi A3 in the style, more safe and more technology.

  • I am praying that this will come to the US

  • if u like i can ship you one from Italy ! i must say it is a really good car and very stylish

  • btw did he say PDK isn't that the Porsche's dual clutch system??

  • @robseven7 that is just the camera, most camera's due to their frame rates sometimes don't capture the light properly, and it gives the perception of flashing.

  • dont u think its a myth tha italian cars are not reliable?we had an 156 for 7 years and didnt have a problem!!now a brera 3.2 still not a problem!!and most of people dont know about cars they have a golf or polo and just talk..

  • I don't think the Giulietta looks too good in white. Must be a very colour sensitive design. I much prefer that 8c red and black. Though even in white it is still beautiful and easily the best looking car in its class.
