I saw this concert @ cologne 2 days ago. I was really fascinated by this group, their play is so intense, really loved it. If someone knows where I can get this performance, audio or video, whatsoever, pls tell me.
Thanks for you info. During the concert I did not have a clue what the titles of the songs were. As you know Jan does not speak during the concert. I agree, the concert is amaizing for 2hour and 20 minutes without any break. Never got this happy feeling during a concert.
Just after the concert I have written to Peter Hohensee (the Jan Garbarek's agent) for asking this question. He has answered me that unluckily these pieces are not available on CD for the moment! Our only remaining hope is to write to ECM to point out our love for these musics to Manfred Eicher and waiting for the release of a new album of Jan Garbarek Group... I hope that heartily!!!
That's a good Idea. Do you know if other songs from this concert are pre-recorded? During this concert I was very exited about this concept, the group was playing. I know Personal Mountains with Keith Jarrett: lots of energy and blues. Rites is more like soundscapes . But this is different. Exiting, suspence, groove, Rock, funk. everything came along.
and Solo Yuri Daniel Miracle of the fishes (Album Native Dancer de Wayne Shorter- Nascimento & Brant) There were swallows (Album Twelve Moons) Latin( New) Solo Brüninghaus (Bali) Once I wished a tree upside down (was played in concert 2006 but not available on CD in my knowledge) Fugi (New) Maracuja (New) Solo Manu Katche New Bein (was played in concert 2006 but not available on CD in my knowledge) Voy Cantando (Album Legend of the seven dreams)
