I urge you to either finish it or find someone, perhaps a student at a local University who can finish it for you. I am a huge fan of The Red Shoes which makes me a Massine fan so I hope you're able to finally pull it off.
You give me the dosh & I will. But as you'll see from my website I have many different things happening these days. I dont regret doing it but it's way past its sel-by date now! I do however have a nostalgic plan to revisit Li Galli again before I die.
WYSIallYG. Had we been able to complete the film in 1971 we'd planned to use feature film clips (Red Shoes /Spanish Holiday) of Massine dancing. But in the duopoly era of TV neither channel would buy it & so we couldnt licence the films. Its been well dead these 35 years!
hey maxwellsteer, you have great base material to make a documentary. for a ballet audience (tho it would have a wider distribution of course) it could have some more dance sequences, where illuminative. i guess you would have already planned this. hope you finish the film! nick

Oh,how sad but how generous of you to share this with us.
I would have loved to see at least a part three since I have been researching about Massine and Spain for a number of years now.
