yall need to calm down, when i was 13 i went to one of their sea world summer camps and worked with them behind the scenes (fed peenguins up close, watched pregnancy tests with dolphins, prepared on stage food for the killer whales, got kissed by the sea lion and beluga whale, weighed baby and adult whales, etc) these people told us that animal trainers are given full warning of the dangers... in fact one of the requirements is swimming 50ft underwater to retrieve a weight and bring it back up..
yes, i'm said that the trainer died because of this, but there are so many people dying out there even with them trying to domestic animals like tigers and wolves
i think the trainer should not be jumping in the water as part of the show...
seaworld should be a nonprofit meaning all the revenues should be spent on fighting fisherman and murderers of these mammals in the wild.

Granted, not all of these animals would be happy but you do not know the circumstances here. Something could have happened that was out of their control. Seaworld in Australia rescues a lot of its animals, they use shows like this to keep the place going. I'm not saying that they're saints, they make a profit, but they arn't evil either. Also, animals like orca's cannot be set free if they have been in captivity too long. Look up Keiko the orca's story.
To add, I am not a supporter of animal capture or abuse. Some corporations exploit animals and treat them badly, these places should be shut down. I just think that many animals are born in captivity and most people won't donate money to keep animals alive unless they get something back (Horrid, yes). If they were set free, many would die and without these shows they would die as well. Think of all the angles please before making a snap judgement.
Survival of the fittest. Captured animals are just that, they lost so they got captured. They can attack the trainers and do what they want to do, it's fair game. However, at the same time we have no obligation to release them.

I laugh at how poor the arguments are for animal rights. Here is my argument If it was out in the wild would you also complain when it eats two or three baby seals a day this thing eats? Does it bother you at all that it might not be able to survive in the wild?
Kinda reminds me of when Animal rights rescued 6,000 mink and released them into the UK forrests. The mink all died because they couldn't survive the conditions, but only after ripping to peaces hundreds of thousands of other animals.

Eating seals obviously keeps balance in the population but those are orcas that are born into the wild. I went to SeaWorld and watched these shows a few times when I was little, but now that I'm older I realize how cruel it is. @jacqueline994 no not really,i've been to many shows like this and i even had an vip thing that i could go after the show and see what it is and how they treat them-all the money mae from the shows go to animals,not to the people to the animals ! they fight for animal cruelty not do animal cruelty !!!! some animals in there were treated badly or were badly hurt ! p.s the music was chosen by the film maker :L

@MrXenus13 true enough, animals die. So do humans.. Do we hold humans in zoo's and parks to make sure they don't die? No. Animals have the right to fend for them selves in the wild. It's great that they are helping injured sea animals, but they don't have to keep them forever.

@ImTheAsianChick13 to start over this is not even seaworld... and nobody seems to remind Free Willy's Keiko story, these orcas are kept in captivity for too many years, if they set them free they'll obviously die in ocean, they don't know how to hunt, or live in a pod. they'll just die.

Granted, not all of these animals would be happy but you do not know the circumstances here. Something could have happened that was out of their control. Seaworld in Australia rescues a lot of its animals, they use shows like this to keep the place going. I'm not saying that they're saints, they make a profit, but they arn't evil either. Also, animals like orca's cannot be set free if they have been in captivity too long. Look up Keiko the orca's story.

To add, I am not a supporter of animal capture or abuse. Some corporations exploit animals and treat them badly, these places should be shut down. I just think that many animals are born in captivity and most people won't donate money to keep animals alive unless they get something back (Horrid, yes). If they were set free, many would die and without these shows they would die as well. Think of all the angles please before making a snap judgement.

Survival of the fittest. Captured animals are just that, they lost so they got captured. They can attack the trainers and do what they want to do, it's fair game. However, at the same time we have no obligation to release them.

I laugh at how poor the arguments are for animal rights. Here is my argument If it was out in the wild would you also complain when it eats two or three baby seals a day this thing eats? Does it bother you at all that it might not be able to survive in the wild?
Kinda reminds me of when Animal rights rescued 6,000 mink and released them into the UK forrests. The mink all died because they couldn't survive the conditions, but only after ripping to peaces hundreds of thousands of other animals.

@I4M4TR0LL Orcas live in pods (families) They even kill sharks just for there liver..So they do just fine. Eating seals obviously keeps balance in the population but those are orcas that are born into the wild. The ones in captivity depending on if they were born or brought and how long, have no chance of survival. maybe i should have rephrased my last comment..
And obviously you can't "rescue" animals from captivity you should know most Animal rights groups are a little slow.

hard to have sympathy with the trainer. forced labour is no fun for orca's any more than it is for humans. can't believe this is still allowed in the 21st century. i'm sure people could find something else to watch. this beautiful mammal should be living free in the ocean, not entertaining stupid humans who are trying to kill a couple of hours.

I went to SeaWorld and watched these shows a few times when I was little, but now that I'm older I realize how cruel it is. Animals should only be in captivity if they are injured or something like that to the point where they wouldn't be able to survive in the wild and shouldn't be made to do tricks for entertainment.
