  • Should or can guys do hot oil treatments?

  • Are your products safe for protein sensitive hair?

  • Hi I wanted to know is this ok to use with yarn braids & what other products in your line can I use to maintain the protective style(YB"S) , the winter up north is wicked

there is a blizzard going on now .I need to moisturize & condition without a lot of buildup & maintain a healthy scalp regimen.

Your help is appreciated. PS love the large size caps yay : ) ,

  • hi do you post to the united kingdom cause i wanna buy some product from ure website thx xx

  • So you add your honey and sage conditioner to your hot oil treatment... do you deep condition your hair again after you have washed your hair?

  • can you use the hot oil treatment as an everyday oil? ive never really been a fan of using grease. ive always hated using it. oil makes it alot easier for me to work in my hair. or do you suggest something else?

  • i was needing to know how would i go about growing my edges back their not really bad but it bothers me. do you have a product that grows your sides back?

  • Hey girl!!! I was wondering which one of your products would you suggest for kinky twist? I have kinkys right now and my scalp is always dry? Thanks

  • awww black onyx ur so cute! i need to step up my hot oil treatment regimen

  • I love your videos! I just did my BC Sept. 22, 2010 and I only have maybe 1/2" to 3/4" of hair. I haven't done any hot oil treatments since before my BC but I do cowash. Could hot oil treatments help to keep my hair from drying out before the end of the day? My hair looks really moisturized before I leave but by the time I get back home, my curls/coils have locked up and looks really dry.

  • OMG Ms. Lady. As u was talking about it I decided to do a treatment myself and that warm oil felt so good on my scalp. I want to try ur products but I'm kinda scared. I have very sensitive skin. Even thought is natural I've experienced side effects (i.e. Blacksoap dried my skin/hair like crazy)

  • I have the exact same mug! wierd.

  • Ok ill do that and thank you

  • would u straighten your hair?

  • Can you please get black satin pillow cases

  • Ok I just wanted to make sure and you may have said this before, but you make absolutely all of your products right?

  • How do you deal with a dry scalp like what products of your's help? I have the whole line :D..

  • i did my hot oil treatment tonight! i'd been holding on to the little tube for months-too lazy. glad i finally did it though. i'm gonna get my regimen back on track this month because i'm gonna especially need it for the winter.

  • thank you for sharing this was helpful!

  • Ha, I live in fla too, and my son has a cold as well...It baffles me cuz its sooooo hot!

  • Just wanted to say thank you so much for your time and knowledge that you have shared with us here on youtube. I have truly been blessed by your videos, my hair has been growing so much following alot of the advice that you have shared. I also do hot oil treatments often, just did one with some sesame seed oil. I will be trying some of your products.

  • I am going to have to try your products. This is off the subject but did you move? The bathroom looks different than your older video's. Your hair has had crazy growth.

  • I wonder if repeated exposure of the oils to heat, indirect or not, can affect them? Perhaps it would be better to heat a SMALL amount of the oils rather than the whole bottle over and over. If you think about it, hot oil treatments from the BSS are in small vials

  • Gonna try some of ur oils

  • i heat my oil the same way.

  • thanks god there is a smoking ban in public places in London, england. i used to hate going clubbing and coming out smelling of smoke.

  • so, can you tell me specifically which of your products would be good for dry scalp (besides this)?

  • Funny, I just bought me one today before I saw the video. lol. Thank you for the tutoral. I hate I will have to miss the hair show but I'm glad to have found your site. Keep up the amazing work.

  • Very interesting and informative site, thanks again BlackOnyx77

  • flat iron it

  • Do you sale any bonnets for kids?

  • @moniquewhit The smallest we have is the Large...but its like really not that big, depends on child age..if age 5 and up should fit may hang a little in back but the rubberless band around it may fit..get 1 first n try ...then if ur child doesnt like bonnet get he or she a satin pillowase they wont even remember at night they protecting their hair.just fall right asleep..lol..we selll blue n pink on my site..hope this helps

  • I put my hot oil treatments on before washing, too, because, at least for me, putting the natural oils makes it too greasy. If it's a store-purchased one like Queen Helene, then I use it on clean hair only. You do your thing, girl. If it works for you, that's all that matters.

  • when you sit under the hooded dryer with the oil in your hair does your hair fry?

  • @megs060708 I really use the dryer sittting as last resort...if i vere do its quick n low heat, cuz i dnt want to risk frying my hair...lol...i prefer my steamers and wraps on a regular basis...or puttin hot oil in then going on 1 1/2hr walk

  • great video

  • "..that's like oil you can fry meat in.." LMAO that was too funny!

  • i do my hot oil b4 washin....i read many diff places thats its better to do ur oil treatment than wash and it really makes me hair super soft n all

  • Ive NEVER had a hot oil treatment because I didn't know it was important for my hair. You have also inspired me to do the BC next week. Ivve been pushing it off but your hair is sooo pretty and I want mines to look the same!!!

  • thanks for sharing!! I'm going to start doing some hot oil treatments...I Iike to deep condition but I think on the weeks I don't deep condition I'll do a hot oil treatment :)

God Bless you & your business!!

  • @Dkjames5 Yes you should it makes a difference...Thanksss I appreciate it and same to you also!!!

  • i freakin love that song does your husband have a cd? is there any way that i can buy that song?

  • @playgurl009 i keep telling him that also...as soon as he does ill post it....lol thanksss ill tell him read ur commen

  • @BlackOnyx77 thank you because i love to hear that song on your videos and i will definietly be a supporter if he does make a cd

  • i have not done a hot oil treatment in so frickin' long. even before this vid, i felt ashamed of myself for not doing so. guess i'll be doing it tomorrow after church!

  • @SimplyZeal lol....yep its cool tho..anyway i have them on my site..they R the BEST they stay on all nigh and dont rub out ur edges at night while you sleep

  • Where does everyone get those satin caps with the band and not that elastic. I can't find htem anywhere.

  • @mophead70 You can do like me a hot oil weekly n lightly coat with DC or....what I also like to do is do DC 1 week and Hot oil the next

  • Hey there, I'm transitioning right know and I wanted to know if your products can be used on permed hair? Or should I just wait until after my transition stage? Thanks

  • @sophia7840 good Q. ALL hair benefits [more] natural products. a lot of ppl think natural hair means natural products; not so. by all means, incorporate more natural products into your hair regimen whether you're permed, transitioning or natural.

  • @expertonmyself Agreed! well said

  • @sophia7840 Yes they can my friend Trella is also transitioning and she uses them just fine...she loves expecially Lemongrass Leave and Cowash me for regular use cuz it works on both hair types

  • I CAN TELL THAT THE OILS YOU USE ON YOUR HAIR REALLY WORKS, YOUR HAIR HAS THAT HEALTHY LOOK TO IT, I NEED TO START USING ORGANIC MIXES FOR MY LOCS.

  • @kendra40ify U should..even if u start with some and then change to all ull see a big diff...trust me look at my YT vids from 2007 and now..BIG CHANGES! ...also my site i do sell loc oil...have 2 chicas that will be posting their test of it on site soon

  • Love ur hair chica..did u say your 21 months natural?? I just seen a vid where u celebrated ur 2 yrs anniversary..no big deal though..just was wondering..lol You are a big inspiration to all of us!!

  • @naturalbeauty02 She did two big chops. She had to do the 2nd one because she had a lot of damage in the middle.

  • @marinewifey25 sooo true :)

  • @marinewifey25 thanks 4 clearing that up!!

  • @naturalbeauty02 lol..no 21 months growth...almost 3 years natural....went natural 2007 damaged hair with coloring..did 2nd BC on YT dec 2008 so then dec 2010 will be officially 2 yrs hair growth since 2nd BC..lol..i know its confusing lol :)

  • @BlackOnyx77 Okay thanks hun:) Your so sweet!!!

  • @naturalbeauty02

This is her 2nd round. She did another BC 21 months ago.

  • @kweencessX Okay thanks!!

  • Hey I have a quick question I flat ironed my hair almost 2 weeks ago and I deep condition it and it just won’t go back curly do you have any idea?

  • @shannyie you may have heat damage. if you flat iron your hair it should start to revert as soon as water gets on it or at least after the first deep condition treatment

  • @solidice242 agreed

  • @shannyie well dnt give up yet, but usually hair should revert by now...did you use a heat protectant? ...best thing is do some hot oil treatment...n DC and give hair a break not overstyle for next few weeks..if still hasnt reverted then ull have to slowly cut those ends b./c intense heat damage cant be reverted :( dnt worry if u cut it grows back tho

  • wat is the diff between shampooing and cowashing, and which one is better? When is it good to use either? Should u cowash more than shampoo?????

  • @FrozyWozy the difference is co washing is just washing your hair only using conditioner and no shampoo. Shampoo most often strips the hair so most choose to only use shampoo once a mth that are natural. Which one is better depends on your hair and how u like both.

  • @FrozyWozy Co-Washing is when u wash ur hair with conditioner ONLY w/o shampooing..YES its better to Co-Wash (Condtioner only wash)..because shampooing can strip the hair of its natural oils and dry the hair out...Its best to shampoo the hair at least once a week and co wash when u feel like it...Youtube have tons of vids on "Co washing"!! Hope that Helps!!!

  • @FrozyWozy shampoo is regular washing with shampoo..cowas is conditioner washing..Alikay Naturals we sells a special cowash cond that can be used daily to cleanse and detangle without drying...most ppl avoid shampooing often escpecially if shampoo has sulfates...luckily my shampoos dnt have any so even if u wanted to shampoo often u can but cowashing if u wash often is great, gets hair clean quick..u can shampoo the days u want to xtra clean ur hair...

  • Hey sis, I know you will be getting a load of questions, but I do deep conditions weekly (on dry hair before my wash...guess that a "pre poo"?). Anyhoo, I wanted to know how does this compare to hot oil treatments? I wouldnt know because I have never done the oil treatment (since being natural). Thanks for posting your vids sis, you are a huge help and inspiration to many. =)

  • I have a question how did you get started selling your own products? :))

  • I don't wash my hair before a hot oil treatment..

Even when i was relaxed i would do the treatment and then wash...idk..maybe i'm backwards too :)

  • How do you manage to do these long videos on windows movie maker? My videos always freeze and black out within 3 minutes into the video...what camera are you using?

  • Finally the satin pillow cases & big caps ,my hair thanks you!

  • @nappylala LOL...ur welcome :) My hair grew out of large recently into Xtra large..shute we need to get them to make XXL size for chicas with fros growin wild like ours..lol....

  • Love all the alikay products I have been using them for a month now and won't go to anything else I think(lol recovering pj).But I do want to know how to use naturally unique loc oil if you dnt have locs? Thanks for posting vids missed ya a lot.

  • @Kitanixon lol great question chica...I designed that oil to be versatile...I dnt have locs of course but u can use as daily oil to moisturize your scalp or also as ur hot oil treatment if u run out of ur Blended Therapy....its light enough for daily moistur use without weighin ur hair down...lolll dnt worry I was also a PJ but girl when u find somehting u n ur hair love...stick with it so ur hair doesnt get mad n protest against u...lol
