@jusslo1 na... i'm not a monster of Journey fan after Rollie left... it's not just because he left... but i'm always surprised that their 1981 album accelerate their AOR sound... it's clearly even more commercial than their 1980 LP... there's an acceleration in the wrong sense... i know there's a lot of real well made commercial songs in their '81 lp... but we're not far of a symphony of cash machine... in '78 Infinity... there's more innocence... when they recorded it they were still unknown
The other singer is the underrated Gregg Rolie. Rolie was lead singer on the early Santana and Journey albums. I wish Rolie and Perry had done more tracks like this, as they were awesome together.
Gregg's vocals and brilliant keyboard skills are very much overlooked in my opinion
Gregg's looks kind of creep me out, but I can't deny that he has a great voice! I love how Steve's voice is totally different from Gregg's, but they still sound great singing together.

@InfinityNebula Hey--Perry's out of Journey for being a controlling pain in the ass. But, don't get me wrong--I love Perry--I would give my left nut to be able to sing like him. But, if a band full of talented musicians wants to continue without a key band member, and can replace him aptly (Pineda is GOOD), who can blame them for not going for it. Actually, some of their new material is interesting. (Not all of it, but some.) Don't hate on Pineda--he's a Cinderella story for sure.

Im pissed all my favorite rock bands are no longer around or they tour with clones who arent any good groups like Journey, Styx DeYoung the singer is gone, Foreignor Gramm the singer is gone, Boston Delp died recently, Van Halen DLR is not with them any longer the list goes on and on its surprising that Steven Tyler is still with Aerosmith or Jagger is with The Stones
and then to be subjected to this horrible modern music with people like Justin Bierber and Jonas Bros, awful

wow this brings back memories. I was so in love w/ Steve Perry. My dad took me and my gf to the concert we were just babies. met neal sean and got his autograph and a ride in the limo to the party. i called mom and she said daddy was looking for me and boy was he ever mad!! well i told her where we were and dad was there in secs. now remember no cell phones in that day.. lol boy was he mad.. i said i want to party with the band.. dogoon it. never met my idol Steve that was a sad day for me.. :(
