I am a sales person at a Honda powersports dealer and I know these bikes inside and out. The Mugen CBR1000 (not sold in the u.s.) is a farsuperior machine. Notice the Ohlins suspension, Bits of carbon fiber and titanium used throughout?

I can throw some aftermarket parts on mine, paint mine, slap some stickers on it & custom stitch my seat as well, then it'll be mugen too. I call bs on this.

@aerodriguezusmc a mugen cbr 1000 exhaust does exsist . and the seat can be bought . the suspension is ohlins (same company most gp teams use )

the crankcase bolts are titanium .

plus front and rear carbon fenders , wich are minimal .

yes it is not much but there is what matters on it . suspension and more flow

plus i am sure its mapped properly .

i would not spend the money on it . i dont need the suspension . i dont track very often

there is another video its mugen back tire huger made out of dry carbon titanium cover exhaust slip on, step kit, front tire fender dry carbon, seats , hydrophilic mirrors , it doesn't say anything about rims or being tuned ... but im sure mugen played with it when it comes to tuning maybe even suspension is tuned ... too bad you can't buy it . but u can buy the parts and do it your self which is always more fun .. LOL

@guinho1200 you could touch the ground on a 1000 being 5'8".you can lower or raise the seat height on most bikes today.or you can at least buy a yoshimura height adjust kit.most seat heights are around 32" stock.

Not the wheels, not the guage cluster. The rearsets are aftermarket, and of course the paint is too. The suspension is Ohlinots R/T. No tune unless thee is an aftermarket fuel petrol management system, or something like a full motec. that wasnt a stock exhaust but not sure what it is though.

don't. You'll never notice the difference in performance, which is can only be measured in some circuits, but you'll notice a big difference in quality from one to the other. That's my opinion about hondas and yamaha's from my experience. It's not worth it. You're better off trading it for the 2009 abs model for example. That's a nice change you'll notice and that will be helpful for you. I would if I could...
