  • Zacharias is in no position to talk about sincerity.

  • Since Mr. Z is truly religious and sincere, no doubt he is donating 100% of his salary to the poor...and walking the earth sharing the Word of God for no payment whatsoever. This is, of course, what Jesus taught us. Isn't real sincerity a wonderful thing?

  • What a liar

  • It is almost amusing that the critics of Jesus Christ display a lazy, "devil-may-care" attitude towards life and someone like Ravi. If most of the opposition to Christ doesn't care about the facts and the details, then basically, Jesus Christ wins (yay!) and will (for good) continue to be the standard for the Christian nations of the world.

  • 3000 lives lost after the law in Exd ,but 3000 lives were saved after grace (free life to us ) was given in Act 2:41 ...People attack the bible and they don't even read it all ...The law kills you ,but the grace saves ..Amen ...

  • And people who believe too strongly forget how to think critically about what they read or say. If I recall, the Bible only specified the number of how many were killed. Not how many were saved. To be fair though, I believe the number saves was much higher than 3000. Nevertheless, why would a graceful God kill over a silly and archiac law code?

  • He killed them because they refused to accept his laws. In a way, the only way to get a people's attention to do something drastic. The plagues is a good example. If you read the Bible, even in the New Testament, people die as a lesson to others about sin and disobedience. The most benevolent government will still be forced to do something drastic to deter hardcore crimes. It only seems silly because the law was written long ago but some things never get old.

  • "He killed them because they refused to accept his laws."

So he is no different than a roman emperor?

"In a way, the only way to get a people's attention to do something drastic."

A finite mind might believe so but surely an infitine mind would of a better way. Unless God is finite of course.

"The most benevolent government will still be forced to do something drastic to deter hardcore crimes. "

Again, this would work only id God and his wisdom is finite.

  • "It only seems silly because the law was written long ago but some things never get old."

We still kill people over making statues do we? ;)

  • If God was to tell you not to sin, you would still do it. He cannot remove your want to sin, without removing your freedom. He uses the language that we understand to speak to us. God knows what the the best way. By expecting him to tolerate sin is against his very being. You cannot squeeze God into your own perception. Freedom to sin is something we as humans have but its something we should not use.

  • "If God was to tell you not to sin, you would still do it."

My mother is more powerful than God is she? Perhaps she is a bit more wise since she tries to reason with me first as opposed to flat out killing me for forgetting to do the dishes.

  • Yes, but I don't answer to your mother, you do. This God is the God of the universe. He giveth, He taketh.

  • So you agree that my mother is more wise and graceful than God since she uses reason and understanding to get me to do the right thing whereas God tends to kill things?

  • when christ appeared to us did he come for the righteous no...did he come for the perfect no ravis integrity is found in the teaching of christ and that must be known through his teachings as well.

  • totally awesome video man.

  • I think it's such a shame that he appears on this channel. He has so much more integrity.

  • Thank you for posting the messages from Ravi

  • He left out a part of the sequence about bondage and reception of the moral law. Like the massacre of 3000 people. Kinda ironic that the first thing Moses did was kill 3000 people after recieving a law directly from God instructing him not to kill.

  • Hey, God told Moses to allow the Levites to kill. Please read the book of Genesis over again.

  • So in response to a contradiction you simply point out that it was not the first contradiction to occur?

  • No I'm just telling you not to read just out of context. But to read the WHOLE thing before you speak so you can grasp a greater idea than you had imagined.

  • How am I reading the Golden Calf story out of context? God explicitly has moses chisel down a law not to kill then Moses kills 3000 people. This was after Moses did such a good job of convincing God not to destroy everyone for making the calf that God "changed his mind". Am I still out of context?

  • God made carve the law in to the tablets. The law by the way is to not murder some people who translate have problems or are just forgetting the real meeting. God didn't change his mind, he simply did justice. No you are reading but you still need to think it over.

  • So killing 3000 people becuase they made a calf out of gold is justice? They didn't even harm anyone and the people who made it did so out of their own Free Will. I am not seeing how these deaths are justified even if you could make the arguement that it wasn't murder.

  • They were stubborn and suddenly turned their backs on the one that made them. Of course God would get angry. After all he is a zealous God.

  • So it is perfectly justified, in your eyes, to kill someone becuase you are angry and they are stubborn?

  • First of all, You don't question God's authority. Second of all they broke the law that they knew about before it was written down on the tablets. God just saved them from Egypt, and then all of a sudden you doubt him! Well it could have been prevented, but then Aaron was about to be killed if he didn't want to make an idol.

  • "First of all, You don't question God's authority"

Becuase he will kill us if we don't?

"God just saved them from Egypt, and then all of a sudden you doubt him! Well it could have been prevented, but then Aaron was about to be killed if he didn't want to make an idol."

So if I save your life that gives me the right to kill you if I feel it is necessary?

  • Well no it doesn't, but are you God? By the way if you read the whole thing, it states and people knew that if they committed a great sin they knew the consequences. Before Jesus came about it was death, and they knew it. No offense to the Hebrews but that is a little bit stubborn especially after getting saved.

  • "Well no it doesn't, but are you God?"

Does it matter? We know what Jesus tuaght and you, and Ravi, hold that Jesus is God. It makes no sense whatsoever for Jesus to maintain this old archiac law code since, right then and there, he could have changed it. It is like knowing how to fix a toilet but instead of fixing it right then and there you beat your child for clogging it.

  • Well he didn't actually keep or maintain his old archaic law. When Jesus came he changed the whole thing around. So now i dont want to phrase this improperly, but the Old Testament is kind of our History book to know how it was like in the past. Well actually more than history.

  • If this was history of HUMAN law code then sure. But this is the HIstory of DIVINE law or rather, DIVINE grace. Now, why would one who is as wise and benevolent as Jesus still have a savior maintain the old archiac law when he could have introduced the new law right then?

  • Now, I am not saying everything would be fine if he did but, doesn't strike you as odd that Jesus, who, in terms of Christianity, would be the Old Testemant God, would make the entire human race wait for 3000-4000(?) years before giving the human race the laws of Grace (turn the other cheek, let he who sinned cast the first stone, etc.)?

  • I truly love to hear Ravi speak about the truth of the Gospel. I would enjoy more videos of him aswell. There are several videos posted in one clip and supposedly debunked in a second clip by an athiest. ALL caring brothers and sisters in Christ who read this should stop and pray for that particular young man. I know that we can not cause him to believe, however, GOD can soften his heart of stone, and GOD knows who it is you will be praying for.

  • excellent! more! more! more! keep up the good job!

  • Thanks and there will be more to come!

I hope you all enjot these vids!

  • the autonomy and pride of zacharias shocks me. Intelligent? he thinks hell is in outer space (the case for faith by lee strobel). He thinks hell is an abstraction that is probably in outer space. Now his faith has no rationality but passion alone and passion is not reason. It is decision with emotion. He is autonomous and needs to repent for his pride.

  • He prides himself in the knowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we are directed to do that from the Bible.

  • I hope you all enjoy my vid thanks for the comments!
