  • dude who do you think your fooling, you were so trying to find star wars

  • dude i love your videos they helped me a lot!!!!

  • Hey Dan,

Just wanted to let you know that your video's have been great at helping me improve my playing especially these 2 low hanging fruit vids.

    Thanks alot

  • your awesome ! you have made me want to play even more !!!

  • how do you do that in the minute 2:50 "bending"

  • @thehellcomewhitme watch bending videos.

  • thanks for the advice Dan!

  • Hey Dan your video's are great for people like me who live in rural parts of the world where it is impossible to see live Blues Music. The youtube and net in general is my source for blues info. How about another "Low Hanging Fruit" Licks video. Its great to see classic licks broken down for beginners like me, especially because most harp web sites don't seem to have accurate tabs.

  • dan ....hi!!!!... olaf here from chile, south america..yr great can you please be slow when instructing to blow or draw...4us sometimes it's hard to understand and follow is it possible maybe for you... say to write the scale on a super while talking...? yr one of the best teaching this incredible magic instrument ...regards

  • hej Dan

you're a cool dude, and you make some nice video's, keep it up!

hehe the starwars part was cool, got to find out how to play that..

  • Great video. I absolutly agree. Just play.

    Sonny Terry is great.

  • This is a good tutorial, thanks for breaking it down. Does anyone listen to Sonny Terry anymore? I like that rhythmic style.

  • Hey dan, ur amazing and amazing tips you are helping me sooooooo much with the harmonica now i can impress all of my friends lol also what are the notes to that starwars theme? I love starwars and that would be so cool to know. thx

  • Hey Dan,

It was crazy running into you in San Diego this week. Small world, eh?

You are a great player especially when you let it rip....so I say peel the paint and part their hair...

    laids,

    Valentino

  • Dave, sorry Dan,

Well, I've been avidly following Adams Vids, and now we've got another great antohter great player, and talented teacher showing us more fantastic stuff, and from a different angle. As you said, got to love the Youtube, if I was learning 5 years ago, I would still be looking at a book and playing greensleves, but I'm playing the blues. Practice.......any time I've got the harps in the mouth.

    Thanks Mate,

    Jim - Australia.

  • you're a great guy dan, you really make me want to play more then I allready try ^^

    greetings from belgium.

  • The Allman Brothers suggestion is great. I love playing to In Memory of Elizabeth Reed and Whipping Post. Good advice Big Dan.

  • I spent about a year learning off of "you don't love me" from Live at the Fillmore. I tried to cop everything Duane did on slide.

  • You should totally show in one video the tabs for the star wars theme. I gotta learn that one and play it at school haa. :D Well, your probably the best video's I've found. It's hard to try ot learn strictly off of youtube as a begginer though. I struggle in bending notes, so if you could make a video about it, and go into detail as much as you can. Maybe that would make it longer or whatever you need, I just don't get how to bend notes. Thanks.

  • It takes fundamentals first. I thought there was a plethora of bending videos already on here. I'd hate to over-saturate the market, but will consider making one.

  • Hey Dave thank you for all the videos and the talk you motivate me just when i think arrrgh i cant do this .. its is so good that you give us all this stuff well done ..

  • It's "Dan" not Dave.

    Glad I can help

  • sorry Dan

  • no sweat. There is a Dave Gage who teaches harmonica for money. I never met him, though.

  • 12 gage,

Just wanted to say thanks for the posts. Dig your playing, your attitude, and your willingness to share what you know. Been playing for 'bout a year and absolutely love the harp. Hope to oneday have your chops.

  • My attitude may not be for everyone, but I'm glad I'm helping a few. I like YOUR attitude, kirbydiggers, and the fact that you're a Richard Feynman fan too.

  • Dan, seriously, your videos are so friggin' helpful. I appreciate that you guys all post these, but yours are by far the best for the very beginner. I like to watch Jason's stuff just to see where people can eventually get to - but there's basically not at all for beginners.

So thanks for putting in some time for us total newbies.

    - sam

  • Sam, you're right. Jason's stuff is a bit more advanced. I'm learning from his stuff. Don't limit your scope, though. Try to play some of his exercises even before you're ready. You'll push yourself and learn faster. Thanks for the kind words,

    d.g.

  • Yeah like me! thats funny. you rock Dan! hey is you gonna call me...I am all off the road and everything. nice bending and stuff I have been practicing too.
