The solo is something that draws the attention to 1 specific instrument, whilst the other instruments just provide the rhythm. You will find very few guitar solos where none of the other instruments are playing.

@tellisMHS Nah, drums are like that, I think it's so people can distinguish which instrument is which easier at the start of a song. All it is, is that the green note has been put on the right hand side, then everything is pushed to the left. It's the same order of colours otherwise.
