  • Funny.

  • I saw this at the cinema when i was a kid, alot of wear crying in terror at this scene. Even as an adult now, its still unsettling.

  • @Star12121 yeah, I remember being freaked out by this as a kid. It's also the way it seals over her mouth so she can't scream anymore :-(

  • This video should have a scary button.

  • i wish had took cracked's advice and not came here

  • This scene freaked me out SOO much when I first saw it as a child.. the screaming and noises she made. I used to get nightmares from it!

  • This scene really bothered me as a child. Especially with the helpless whimpering Vera does as she's converted, and then the way she (it) rips itself from the wires upon exiting. Upon seeing this, it was the first time I had ever any thoughts of transhumanism.

  • me three, this scared the living shit out of me when I was little.... this was supposed to be a kid friendly movie too........

  • this terrified me as a child....grisly

  • @TheMinxy76 yes me to, scared the crap out of me.

  • @Lenangreal Same here OO I still think its freaky lol

  • oh GlaDos!

  • This actually weirds me out and im 20 ffs.

  • Wow, interesting how something that scared me so much as a kid is actually just hilarious. In the 20ish years since I last saw this my memory of it had taken on nightmarish proportions, when in reality it's pretty much just Ronnie Wood in silver face paint...

  • Cracked!

  • I remember being scared shitless as a kid watching that bit lol! Oh how times have changed :-)

  • Yeahhhhh film vault.

  • the horror

  • She's turned into Dot Matrix from Spaceballs

  • And thus, GLaDOS was born.

  • she looks like one of the guys from KISS

  • We are the Borg

  • sup, glAdos

  • yeah creeped me out when I was little too. I guess its the whole getting consumed and turned into a robot piece by piece while still alive that was unnerving

  • @TheAdmirableAdmiral RIght on the button.

  • When i was a child this part scared me too.

  • put a little in at a time!

  • I found this sequence really scary when I was a kid.

  • A skynet creation: transform yourself into a cybernetic organism in just a few easy seconds!

  • @TheLoxUK ???

  • Domo mati gato, Mr. Roboto...

  • And thus the Roboticizer was born...

  • This scared me shitless as a kid

  • "Resistence is futile"

  • And thus, GLaDOS was born...

  • ..lol nice robot walk...

  • this scare me was I was a kid

  • was i the only kid not scared by this?????

  • In the novelization of the movie, the character was revealed as being an android (invented by Vaughn's character) instead of being turned into a cyborg by the supercomputer. Little bit of trivia for you.

  • cracked.com wheres my thumbs up?

  • this scared the shit out of me when i was a little kid still does now.

  • @jonnyftm92 amen mate, just remembering how scary it was all over again!

  • then 3 minutes later, there is a final shot of her suddenly back to normal in the rubble - how does that happen? really poor!!

  • This fucking terrifies me

  • im pretty sure that isent how mechanics work!

  • What the fuck?

  • Powered by amd dual processor and radeon hd

  • This shit fucked me up as a kid and still disturbs me to this day

  • @RippingTheSystems1x1 yes agree - saw this when i was a 7 year kid in 1983 and freaked me out then!!

  • assimilate!

  • Richard Donner, who directed the first two movies, had outined a plot for the third part of the trilogy where the Kryptonian artificial inteligellence Brainiac was the main villan. This supercomputer showdown was a left over from Donner's original plot without being based on any Superman comicbook lore. The movie was terrible, basically a vehicle for Richard Pryor with no real connection to the first two! BTW if you haven't aready, check out 'Superman II - The Richard Donner Cut' on DVD!!

  • Press and hold 3.

  • So this is how Mecha-Michael Jackson from Moonwalker was born.

  • Oh my god its Albert Stroller! I never noticed that before!

  • What the heck? I remember renting Superman III, and I don't remember anything like this. How does this fit into the storyline at all? The whole plot is that an uberhacker takes control of computers, and then later uses a weather satellite to take control of Superman himself.

    And the effects were awful.

  • I remember seeing this when I was a kid, it frightened the shit out of me.

  • @eals524 This bit fucked me up too as a kid...it's okay, I know how it feels

  • Someone call Ratchet, the Biobliterator is back online! Attack of the automaton pop stars!

  • @retrojunkie1983 they still can become "self aware", we just dont care anymore to worry like that...

  • that part scared the shit out of me as a kid

  • @TheHotdoobie75 Me too. I was 5 when this came out.

  • What the hell happened to hurr durr durpahurr.

  • This always scared me as a kid.

  • @davincent98 im glad i wasnt the only one.lol

  • Robots dont scare me..........oh shit!

  • End Guy: *0*

  • At first, I thought she was gonna turn into Iron Man.

  • My fellow 90's kids, please confirm for me: Roboticizer? Amirite?

  • I wonder if anyone knew that the world doesn't work that way when they made that scene.

  • yes, standing there holding out your hand will is really helpfull,

  • I was really scared as a kid in the 80s. Not anymore, thanks to the Undertaker.

  • Surprise that I am not alone, as I was one of the Scared Kid in the 80'.

  • @borisdmhk oh this scene scared the shit out of me when i was a kid~!!!

  • Ok so it is from this where the idea of Star Trek TNG Borg assimilation and resistance is futile came from LOL

  • ....Now little Caroline is in there too....

  • Wow, I saw this as a kid and it scared the fuck out of me. I knew it was from a Superman film but never figured out which one it was. Still creeps me the hell out.

  • I remember how much i used to want to be the sexy blonde when i was younger; she was my favorite, even though she was one of the villains :D

  • This scared the shit out of me when i was a kid

  • When Carrie Fisher runs out of pills...LOOK OUT!

  • Say goodbye Caroline.

  • @EclairPerversePastry goodbye Caroline

  • I hate asking for thumbs up, because it's annoying and a sign of mental retardation in the person asking. For that reason I only ask for this:

Everyone who got nightmares from this scene as a child, give a thumbs *down* to RoCKyMUSiC13 (the guy with 640+ thumbs up). Begging for thumbs up is moronic, and should be treated as such.

  • @riKringkast who fucking cares. jesus, dude, how old are you?

  • @gubbj I care, I'm 25, and my name isn't Jesus. Now calm down =)

  • @riKringkast...... no kidding, i remember this scene and i fk'n freaked out! you have to excuse this GENERATION, they're a hell alot different from when we were growing up!

  • @riKringkast HA You are jealous idiot just because someone got over 600 thumbs up on a online message board. Wow big fucking deal.

  • @taekwon3000 Two points of contention:

    1. I'm not jealous, I'm annoyed

    2. YouTube isn't an online message board

    Also; na-na na-na boo-boo, stick your head in doo-doo.

  • @riKringkast The comment section of Youtube is a online message board.

  • @taekwon3000 No, it's AN online message board.

  • Agree with everyone else. This gave me nightmares as a kid.

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhh es la chimoltrufia

  • I remember, this scene absolutely freaked me out when I was a kid!

  • @CID296 And me until I found this clip a few years back !

  • Got hair like Nikki Sixx

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH What the hell?!!!

  • I was wondering what movie those nightmare fueled memories came from, was there ever an actual explanation in the movie or does she just get coated in metal? Really weird and freaky...

  • I watched this movie when i was a kid and I was sick the same day. I got a horrible nightmare from this scene lol.

  • I'd be scared too if my sister turned into Robert Smith from The Cure.

  • @Wookiestick Ha! I love Robert Smith, but that's just gold.

  • this was a triumph

  • this has GOT to be someone's fetish

  • Superman III- GLaDOS is Born

  • haha the guys face at the end is priceless xD

    he's literally like :O

  • This scene genuinely traumatised me as a kid. I couldn't sleep for days and I was wary of electrical cables.

  • Comment removed

  • @checkoutgirl Seriously, this freaked me out as a kid too. Creepy.

  • 'Superman III' isn't a Superman movie. It's a Richard Pryor movie that happens to have Superman in it.

  • GLaDOS

  • fuck you and your thumbs up you filthy whore!

  • Yeah, don't move out of the way or run or anything, you retards...

  • Fuckin' wierd. What were these writers smokin' when they thought this shit up?!

    Oh i know, Weed!

  • Actually, "The Superman III Cyborg Lady Support Group" on Facebook led me here - facing my deepest childhood fears is part of my therapy :D

  • WE ARE THE BORG. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE. EVEN FOR SUPERMAN.

  • that scene scared the crap outta me when i was a kid.. lol not so much nowadays

  • THIS IS HOW ROBOTS WORK YOU GAIZ

  • Hey look! Vera Webster was assimilated into a Borg drone! First of its kind! This is a remarkable event! Unprecedented! Didn't Superman take stock?? This is a miracle of science!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • poor caroline

  • ...and thus, GLaDOS was born...

  • @dagrimmreepa YES.

  • Uwe Boll would be so proud of this scene.

  • You know what? F*CK YOU CRACKED! I'm still going to read your articles though.

  • so thats how susan boyle came into being

  • So.. she turned into Liza Minnelli?

  • Thumbs up if you think that the top rated comments shouldn't have typoss.

  • @ninjagonzalez stop the desperate attempts to get your comments thumbs up'd

  • @ninjagonzalez I can't. If I do, this comment might end up top rated, which would create a paradox.

  • @8cmn finally someone got the joke.

  • Many years ago as a lil kid this scene gave me the heebie jeebies.

  • This moment movie is basically Brainiac

  • @urrutiap at THAT moment.

  • They need to get Sonic in there to pop her open. I'm sure there's a bouncing chibi-sized version of the original woman in there somewhere.

  • Pamela stephenson was hot in this!

  • @divinevoice23 The woman even looks like Caroline a bit with that hair color, but it's shorter.

  • I bet this is along the lines of what happened when Caroline became GLaDOS.

  • @airbendingavatar1 Wouldn't surprise me in the least.

  • the eyes were actually a little creepy... other than that, its pretty cheesy.

  • And this is how Darth Vader was made.

  • That would be a cyborg or android...not a robot...

  • @Peebio You actually got thumbs up!
