  • Anything can be used for good or evil.

  • Abby you try to slander the legitimacy of the London riots "not comparable to the middle east"?? ay? Why is that? Do you think the rioters had no authentic legitimate reasons for what they did?

The riots were an uprising against capitalist repression, you can try to deny this and slander it, BUT nothing will change that

  • @COMMUNISTPHILOSOPHY LOL. You need a shrink.

  • @COMMUNISTPHILOSOPHY The riots in the UK were because of an entitlement culture amongst the youth and rampant materialism and hedonism. It has nothing to do with the youth "rising up against the evil and oppressive force of capitalism" they aren't interested and intellectually engaged enough to care about all that political crap you drone on about. I also doubt someone all the way in NZ will have any accurate insight into affairs of the UK, which you have just proven.

  • next minute, the fascist capitalist lying freaks will be blocking or stopping Communists on YT and twitter etc and STILL claiming that the fascist UK and U$A are "democracies" lol, what a pathetic joke YOUR system is

  • I agree with you here.

  • everything is ok

  • Is it reall that hard on the internet to not say anything that may incite violence or conspiracy to commit a crime.

  • @antileftwinger Dissent against the government can be seen as something that "may incite violence" against the government. Does that mean we shouldn't be allowed to voice our opinion?

  • @abbynormal0ne Well protests against what the government is doing would be aloud, if someone is going to commit a crime by the laws of the land the government must stop them, it doesn't matter why they are doing it or who they are doing it against. If those people off Facebook said lets go protest the government could not have done anything, even if a riot happened at the protest, it's there own fault for being that stupid. This now mean people on the web can say and do anything they want.

  • I very much agree with this.

  • @DLandonCole :)

  • So often it seems like when one person messes up everyone else gets punished.

  • @connerjd Yes, absolutely agree with you there.

  • Afros seem to have their mouth around every available tit a country has for it citizen's in times of need. A productive citizen hits a rough time and needs a tit and he finds that its full of Afros sucking a country dry. Then the tit runs dry and then they want and come after what you have. YOUR tit dries up and look what happend to you. People send these dirty Afro chimps back to Africa and save your nations.

  • @adamsmith2011 You're not going to get any sympathy or agreement from me. Sorry.

  • @abbynormal0ne Truth doesnt need sympathy or agreement, it stands on its own even if some people choose to ignore it

  • cameron is a total TURD

then we will all use more proxy servers

living in Spain it a necessity as the world thinks we are lepers as

far as international copyright and other bullshit

ExpatSheild can be downloaded from.........cnet for free use it people

gives you an.... ip address in the UK

    good vid by the way

  • @swinewarrior Yes, he's a big nutty turd.

  • Great video abby, and all of the reasons you listed, are all of the reasons why republican politicians want to muzzle the internet. And just like news papers, talk radio, and cable television news, the neocons are just itching to take over the internet, and block out people like yourself and others from telling the truth.

  • @68bootyman Thanks, man.

  • I love hearing you speak! KEEP SPEAKING.

  • @BorrahAlive Ok, I shall.

  • Anything can be misused. My problem is when all are punished for the acts of the few. It sickens me that government will use events such as this to limit the rights of all instead of punishing those who did harm to others.

I don't want people to pay fines or in jail and add to the tax burden. I want them to pay restitution or work off the damages. If they refuse to do so... then put them in work camp/jail. Would be nice to see the victims and not the state put first.

  • @deadman12078 Yes, we shouldn't be guilty before proven innocent.

  • You're so pretty and intelligent. I do see your point.. :(

  • @HisagiShuhei Thanks.

  • The internet should be viewed as a Global Commons Without it the free exchange of information is impossible Net Neutrality is essential for a democratic society in the modern world It is predictable that those responsible for the Corporate Looting of entire countries would seek to shut down fora that enable mass opposition to the abuse of power.

The views of extremists should be vented for all to hear. We must see the dark underside of our societies and be forced to confront it

  • @belfastfreethinker I agree.

  • Completely insane for a European leader to suggest something like this.

  • @megamarsvin I agree.

  • For me net neutrality is essential. Without it you create problems with access (to information and the internet itself) and makes it hard for small start ups to compete. Nobody has the right to determine what constitutes as legitimate/priority traffic. As we don't have a clue how people are going to use all the options available.

And like you said, social media is a tool. And if you misuse a tool you can be punished, but putting those kinds of restrictions on it is insane.

  • @CollinMaessen The more the government becomes afraid of what the internet can do against the government, the more they want to stifle it.

  • Yeah... banning social media is pretty damn crazy. Not only is it counterproductive, but it opens up the discussion to serious comparisons with how China deals with things like this...and that's just never good...

  • @ThisParticularBrad Yes, does the West want to become like the East?

  • @abbynormal0ne I would definitely HOPE not (not in this context at least)... by their actions though, it's hard to say sometimes...

  • Ha. Cameron wouldn't be saying that if they were called WHITEberries!

  • @Al1981X *bah-dum-bum-ktshhhh*

  • Dont blame the social network. Keep your people happy, employed, fed, safe and they wont burn your shit down. Kinda simple, really...

If he censors, he had better be ready for the REAL shitstorm from the people.

  • @skeletonmom Yuppers.

  • I don't think social media is any different than guns. Should criminals be allowed to carry guns? Should people who organize riots be allowed to use social media? It's not technology that is evil, it's people.

  • @AlanRussellFuller Guns are different from the internet. I can't share ideas with a gun, and I can't make things bleed with the internet.

  • @abbynormal0ne Well said!

  • Agreed

  • i say Fuck You Cameron

using riots as a political tool then fixing the real issue of why they started

    fucking arsehole he is

  • @jmm1233 Yes, he is.

  • I think these riots would have happened with or without social media. Blackberry's weren't around during the Brixton riots in the 80's but it didn't stop them happening. We can expect the Government to ratchet up the attacks on our civil liberties, which is one of the drivers behind these riots in the first place. You only have to listen to the two girls Christine Peace stereotyped in her video to see where people are coming from 'we were showing the police we can do what we want...'

  • @trifelgeputinage I agree with that.

  • We need to keep the internet de-centralized and neutral. We don't want the internet to just become another branch of the nanny state.

  • @Frasssaanarchy

Yes but where does the nannystate begin or end ? On the surface you want net neutrality but if nannystate laws are already in place ..oh I don't know, say a entitlement culture that has it's roots in social democracy.. then allowing that influence to spread with the rise and support of rioting for change with social networking can be quite statist in it's social Marxism

Is it right to even make some ambiguous statements that looting might be a element of social change ?

  • Riots will happen with or without social media. We didn't ground all planes because some people have used them in destructive ways. Similarly, the benefits of air travel greatly outweigh the possible dangers.

  • @Devilock07 Yes, ground all planes, trains, and automobiles....and stop all phones.

  • I'm very against censorship of the internet. The bills and stuff always have very broad definitions of what is not acceptable and can be tweaked to fit the corrupted country's desires. And making people use their real names for everything? That's just plain stupid. For starters, it doesn't actually help you track them down that much. If you wanted to get someone who goes by a nickname, alias, etc you can just get the IP and find their exact location. The requirement of a name is just a fear tactic

  • @Jarethenator The knee-jerk bills are often very broad on purpose. Then they can tweak it to their needs later.

  • @abbynormal0ne "Yep, yep, yep"-Ducky

Even a baby dinosaur understands the corruption in today's societies.

  • LOL Egypt, etc And London, difference is nil, thats what scares the british govt, they want to lock down the pwoer structure and keep it secure. They don't want a revolution to be that quick and easy. They don't want to be accountable.

  • @adolthitler Accountability is hard though.

  • OK Abby I hear your call, where do I go what do I burn?

    what?... oh. ahem. just joking.

  • @adolthitler Hardy-har-har.

  • After looking what Cameron said, i must say i agree with him. As a last resort to stop massive crime waves, the same way like we shut down the stock market to stop a total meltdown.

  • @Uhmu45 And this is where you and I disagree, unfortunately.

  • @abbynormal0ne Unfortunately? Last i looked, disagreement is a good thing.

  • I think you just showed the power of social media, when no means maybe maybe means yes.

Man I'm begining to know how McCarthy felt. "have you now or even been a supporter, shared a affiliation, been in a collaborative online social group or had loose online networking through various social media of any persons or person that had Marxist, socialist, social democratic, Marxist Leninist or group affiliations of any organization founded or with meaning factions of said inclinations" ?!?

  • @Curas1 Blehhhhh, no McCarthyism!!!

  • @abbynormal0ne

    haha

so then your last statement was a 'makes rolling come along hand motion' statement that london rioters are BAD, Rrriggght ?!???

....mamm the committee is waiting for your response :> 'hehehee'

  • Will Mr Cameron put a killswitch of the English language, Because the rioters used it to organise the riots.

  • @spaceman300 He might.....

  • A lot of the rioters were organising using telephones. It' time we took control & banned this dangerous new technology.

  • @bimblinghill Down with phones!

  • Excellent video. The response strikes me as punishing the tool rather than the problem. Are we to throw hammers in jail next?

  • @itsmaxinthebox Yes, throw all hammers and cars in jail.

  • Cameroon wants a "killswitch" to protect his own ass and the asses of all the other criminal polititians, banksters etc.

  • @mahdatonta But politicians always like to cover their...assets....

  • Social media are obviously to blame for the riots, because no-one had ever heard of even the concept of rioting prior to their existence. Twat.

  • @0mniaV1nc1t Yeah, riots have never existed before. They're very new :P

  • a tool is only as dangerous as the people using it.

  • @gothatfunk Ramen.

  • David Cameron is the antichrist. Sure rioting is a great excuse to take away our freedom of communication. What a dick.

  • @AnnikaGarratt Yeah, he's a pretty big floppy one, isn't he?

  • It's interesting that David Cameron and other members of his Cabinet are blaming social media, when it was that same social media that was used to organise the riot cleanup, the funds to help the Reeves corner shop being built, and the funds to help Ashraf Rosli (the 20-year-old who was robbed by a gang of youths after being injured) continue his studies in the UK.

  • @Afriboy10 I find it more interesting that Cameron and his buddies broke stuff up when they were young....and now he's all pissed that other kids did the same.

  • @abbynormal0ne Yeah, and pretty much for less justifiable reasons too. I wonder if he'd expect back then a hard-line solution to prevent what he described as a breakdown in values, when he himself had no respect for them in his youth.

  • it not like it new they've had 2 way radios before

if your going to charge the wed sit to take product to my modem then I what it at my modem then I not going to pay you for the survase they just paid you for I pay for the ISP because the website are provide at there survares.

  • @hens0w People will always find a way to protest....or loot. The issue isn't really the communication as much as it's the reason WHY.

  • Well spoken and thought out peace mate :D agree completely

  • @Samakain Thankies.

  • So social networking may have made it easier for the rioters to communicate during the riots, it has also helped with the clean up and naming and shaming some of those rioters. Regardless of the method they would have used to communicate it still would have happened.

People, and by people I mean mostly the government, needs to stop passing the blame around and focus it solely on the people responsible for causing the chaos and damage.

  • @Meiklelodians See, it's easier to pass blame than it is to fix problems. That's why they do it, unfortunately.

  • You're right, now substitute guns.

  • @ferulebezel Aw, but I don't wanna :(

  • I will have to close my youtube account if I will be forced to use my real name...most of us would have to, actually. Many of us do not have popular opinions. It's just an awful step to take...awful. I think censoring the internet and forcing real name usage would be detrimental to freedom of speech and new ideas...

  • @fruitikay Exactly. I don't want to be FORCED to use my real name for anything :(

  • No killswitch is needed, just use the social media against the wrongdoers.

  • @Uhmu45 With that I certainly can agree.

  • It's pointless to even comment to you. Please read "Morals & Dogma" it's written by a confederate general and it plainly speaks of the inner brotherhood that controls this world. This chit is just starting. If you in America you know the heartland's farmers no longer have land to grow food and feed people. Life is not a TV show. Monsanto and it's fake azz food...No fish from LA

  • @CovenantOfLove Dude....wut?

  • Yes, social media is the cause of all our problems; that and jews, and bycycle riders. I think the biggest protest of politicians against social media is education. Judging by the acheivements of the governments in the educational realm, they don't want educated masses. anonymity is of great value and should be sustained. I think you're right; in the open, problems are scrutinizable. Obscured, they fester.

  • @RichardRoy2 Educated masses are more difficult to exploit ;)

  • @abbynormal0ne Absolutely; viva les used brains.

  • Agreed

    Cheers Christine

  • killswitch engage

  • @aposticism Good tunes

  • I think we are on the cusp of change. It can go one way or the other. Governments are obviously very nervous of the transparency that comes with the internet and if they start to clamp down on it....we can see some laws coming into place to keep "the people" in line. Its going to be an interesting next few decades.

  • @squirrly001 I certainly hope that the internet doesn't become more restricted. I think it would be an incredible shame for society.

  • If them Government people were smart enough they would have to offer solutions before shit hitting the fan. All they do is sit around like everyone, and when something blows up, they are fucking looking for a knee jerk reaction that will make them look serious, and a scapegoat to clean their name. If you think of the means they have they seem neolithic. I was in England for 3 years. It does not take a genius to see there is an uneducated young underclass of great proportions. They ignored it.

  • @ONESPECIES knee-jerk reactions are never the best reactions ever. Unfortunately, they seem to be the most common reactions.

  • Like you said, it's a tool. The problem isn't the tool, it's how people use that tool. Education and ethics should come before prohibition every time. Prohibition is a treatment of the symptom - not the disease.

  • @DarkMatter2525 Education? Why teach people? Teaching people is hard. // sarcasm

  • Fuck the internet. Welcome stone age.

Me grunt you face stone. Me wrah!

  • @HRage But.....I'll have to make friends the hard way. I don't wanna :(

  • <3

  • I want a killswitch for people who want killswitches.

  • @SAsgarters Yes, that would be nice.

  • Vancouver used the internet to it's benefit after the riot. Because the Vancouver Canucks lost the Stanley cup. After the riot the police combed the internet for pictures of rioters which led to arrests.

Even if they block the internet. What about cell phone calls or SMS/texts.

  • @GodlessManitoban Yes, exactly. Don't forget the news and word of mouth.

  • *hugs*
