Trace is very much alive and well. Him being shot came way back when he was married to his ex wife a long time ago.. He is happily married now and has been for several years. He has lovely children and is a very nice gentlemen.

I had the good fortune to meet Trace a few years ago, and it was in a setting where there were very few people around. He sat and talked to me and my girlfriends for quite a while, and was just as down to earth, good ole country boy as he seems. A few hours later, I won tickets to his concert, with backstage passes, and, with all the people he must meet, remembered me. His music is fantastic, but for me, the MAN is the best!

Old country rocks! There just isn't anything like it out today but Trace has brought a great sound to country music this day in time. His music is just so heart felt and meaningful.
