  • Too bad he was a vietnam draftdodger but his life was spared because he could throw a football. odd how Americans pick their heroes.

  • you know when there is a hair in the film...its old

  • For those {vast majority of} football fans that suffer from acute Steeler-envy,any ones' legendary history must come to a close. But always remember The Mighty Steel Curtain. From north, south, east and west they arrived...treating their opponents like stepped-on bugs. Making them wish they had chosen another profession! GO STEELERS!!!

  • I remember when the Buffalo Bills played them that Fall and beat them. One of the great honors at that time.

  • Age really caught up with the Steelers in 1980

  • The Steelers missed the playoffs in 1980. their decline started when the Raiders embarrassed them on Monday Night football in their own stadium.

  • @vonskull They racked up 500 yards on offense against the Raiders that game so the only ones who should have been embarrassed were the Raiders defense giving up that much yardage to the Steelers second string, a lot of the regulars were hurt for that game. The refs cheated their asses off to make sure the Raiders won that game. If it wasn't for the ref job the Steelers would have won by 30.

  • Very cool

  • The decline of the "Super Steelers" started in 1980.

  • Man with all due respect because I think that the Steelers of this era was the best FB team ever. the stadium is just plain ugly. Those synthetic turf fields were just damn unappealing and the fans seem to be so far away from the field.

  • They showed this during the last game a three rivers. I was there with my grandma...it was the best game ever. I love my steelers

  • That gave me chills! Awesome video!!

  • Wow - I was at this game and sat in the 200 level near the goal line of Rocky's last TD. It is my most memorable moment of Three Rivers, I was only 11yrs old. Amazing he pulled is last game out like this. This is incredible to see - thank you

  • In 1980, the Bengals beat the Steelers twice. The Browns won the division, and I think the Oilers were the wildcard. The Steelers were mere muppets.

  • @genldoz Who Cares Asshole - they won 4 rings in 6 years - what the hell has your team ever done or for that fact - what the hell have you ever done?

  • @genldoz yep. 4-time super bowl champion "muppets" while the Browns, Bengals and Oilers had won ZERO super bowls COMBINED. Black and Gold forever, baby!

  • this video was pretty cool,i wish there were more videos like this from that era,i was 9 and remember the last 2 of the 4 super bowls in the 70's,,

  • Awesome video. Every Steeler fan from that generation should see this. I miss Three River Stadium. Thanks for the post.

  • @144eddy But Heinze Field is easier on the body the turf at Three Rivers I hear was like playing on cement

  • I was only 3 years old when this shot, and I've been a lifelong Dolphins fan, but this video is amazing. Rocky Bleier is a true inspiration. Thanks for posting this.

  • Brought back some memories. Go Steelers!
