No. The monster you're confusing him with was Manda, one of my favorites.

Varan shows in Destroy All Monsters if my memory is correct, but he only is shown as stock footage on top of a mountain, to make Monster Island seem to have a higher monster population.

Baragon doing the Sho Ryu Ken move in the StE was kinda amusing to watch.  But, yes. I gotta admit this is a very good match up instead of watching the reactment - videos from TK. And, is it me or are the graphics in the Wii version a hellva alot better?

Actually, even though varan looks like an iguana, the scientific name for the komodo dragon, has the phrase "varan" in it. He got his name form the komodo dragon, thought I agree he looks more like an iguana. you had it right when you said "Super Iguana"

After all this time and countless Godzilla Unleashed gameplay videos, I think this is the very best one on the youtube site. It has the look and sound of a kaiju movie.

Thanks Tim, I was Varan at the time I filmed this.. I thought I got my butt kicked! I tried to make it kind of dramatic, because I think that's what these games are missing, the essence of the kaiju movies.

you were...just with new stages minigames taken away, online taken away and given two crappy clone monsters with even worse graphics than ste. If atari and pipeworks would have taken a great deal of time giving satisfaction with each game then their game would be alot more respected.

You have to be an alien to get both of them. To get Varan, do on the mothership. Destroy the three purple things on the wall and beat the level. The next day, do evicting Varan on the mothership and beat him to add him to the shop. For Baragon, do friend in need on Monster Island. He will have a power surge. Kill him or destroy the crystls. Then beat the monster on Baragon which is on monster island. If you beat the level he will be in the shop. That is how you get them.

to Dinospikester: the way you unlock varan is by play an alien in story mode at day 11, 10 or 12 you should be able to play on the mothership defeat the purple structers on the wall with you beam which are 3 or 4 then beat the level then select mothership it should play evicting varan beat him buy him in the shop he's yours

Wow! That was such an incredible match. Baragon and Varan seem like a perfect match. I loved how Baragon was going all berserker and the army was focusing on him. Oh and Varan running though the water and Baragon chasing him looked so cool! I really want this game!
