@Sursion7 well actualy, when it opened, it was one of the best rides out there. Obviously by time, it looses its thrill factor competing with the newest coasters at the park. Same goes with revolution, you never know, 30 years from now, X2 will be considered a kiddy ride aswell.

@Sursion7 Actually, it isn't meant to be a kids ride. Gold Rusher was Six Flags Magic Mountain's first roller coaster, opening in 1971, 40 years ago. These were the big scary roller coasters back then, like Goliath is the big one today. Lines were packed back then for Gold Rusher, like they are today for Goliath. It may not be fast or high, but it's not a kiddie ride either. It's a classic, that was the big thing back then like something like Goliath is the big thing today. See the difference?..

...that was it??...o_o...really???...wow..­.a lot slower than I remember, it scared the crap out of me when I was little, I think I must have been just big enough to go on, and I remember feeling like I was going to fall out of the side of the car, lol, so I felt very unsecure, which is still a big turn-off for me with rides, but I would like to try this again now that I'm older, I'd probably have the same reaction "...that was it???"

That is the first and only coaster that Magic Mountain had when it opened in 1971. It was my first coaster ride as a kid back when the park opened. Very tame by today's standards, but good coaster back in the day. :)

I reckon this is the kinda ride that you should possibly go on first before any of the bigger ones , because that way you would probably enjoy this ride more , but if u have been on say the viper or de ja vous (my favourite) then you probably would not appreciate this ride.

@sharpproductions The best coaster ever made was made in the 70's. The Great American Revolution. Today's coasters don't even come close to the class The Revolution was. I write "was" becaue Six Flags has tarnished what made The Revolution what it used to be. The architecture, car design, everything was taken into consideration when The Revolution was designed. Today's coaster riders only care about speed and height.....something that takes no imagination to create. I love your videos, BTW.

I love this ride because...... 1. It's built on a mountain. 2. It is an Arrow Dynamics classic. 3. It's at Magic Mountain. 4. This was the first roller coaster at Magic Mountain. 5. It is a great warm-up ride. 6. I love roller coasters. 7. There is never a line. 8. It is a great ride! 9. It is long and quick. 10. There is a lot more to think of. I won't list anymore.
