It's absolutely breathtaking, and the instrumental accompaniment is brilliant! Although, the story of Jatayu has always made me sad=( When I was little and I was watching a Ramayana enactment, I'm pretty sure I cried when Jatayu got hurt=(

Lesmana performs the final rites as Jatayu passes away. Rama was an old friend of Jatayu - he found the latter mortally wounded (but still be able to speak about Sita's abduction by Rahwana).

ini adalah pertarungan hidup mati Jatayu dan Rahwana Raja saat terbang diangkasa sambil menggendong Dewi Shinta.......aku jadi ingat nih saat pentas Dramatari Ramayana di panggung trimurti,,,saat itu yang jadi Dwi Shinta(almarhum) jatayu sdr indro,dan Rahwana Latip Sadiwa..sekarang kerja di Amerika....dan saya sendiri jadi guru tri di korea..........

We do performance Ramayana dance in Chicago every years. We were doing International Ramayana Dance Festival. We performed with India and Thai. I was Jatayu for this performance. Sometimes we performed in different universities in the United States.
