I think I have to give up - using CS4, I can accomplish most of this easily but when I F12(run) the line flashes. Your animation makes the line look like it is moving horizontally mine FLASHES. That's it FLASHES - I messed something up. I did finally figure out my SNAP issue (was not able to close the object to apply a fill) I am thinking there is another setting (default or something) that I have set differently.

Pen tool must be new to CS4, but you can do it with the line tool or pencil tool too. Thanks!

your last frame is the same as your first one, so there is a short stop, when looping the animation

thanks for the tutorial. question though: it sounds like you have sprung a leak, or are running a bath. i would advise using a grey water system so that you don't waste valuable municipal water suitable for drinking. :)

I realized the answer when i recorded my .swf to convert it to .wmv with camtasia under mouse functions, but thank you for the reply, it meant alot that you took the time to do that for me. if you look on my channel, the video i uploaded last. the button that is spazin around and pulsing is my mouse :)

is there a way to upload my flash videos on youtube while keeping the interactive functions??? like my mouse as over commands? i want my viewers to experience the full effect of my creations.

The mouse pulse/flash is a part of any screen recording program. With most screen recorders, you don't see that pulse while you're recording, but it shows up in the avi. You can also turn the mouse off so it doesn't show up in the avi. The one the OP is using is a pretty decent recorder, but you can get CamStudio for free.
