  • Give em Krispy Kreme's next time, they will let you REALLLL close :P

  • Which truck has the Detroit?

  • What was the point for the front end loader that like appeared out of no where

  • cool not to often you see an arff truck on a house fire !

  • The dwelling is airport property, that was the main reason for the airport emergency team showed up.

  • The only reason the airport had Rescue 2 and and Rescue 3 (the truck with the Snozzle) is they only have 2 FF staffed at a time and the snozzle was the reserve that day. Of course the 2 previous weeks it was the primary, go figure. Rescue 2 wasn't able to get up to the house due to the heavy overgrowth, all the water they attempted to flow just hit the trees and bounced or the fire would have been out before anyone else even arrived. 3000 gallons of water would have been an easy out.

  • Surprised MettaFIreRescue has nothing bad to say today?.... STAY SAFE!

  • Can't criticize a department that doesn't do anything to be criticized for. STAY SAFE!

  • Nice video. Was this an occupied structure? STAY SAFE!

  • negative vaccant dwelling. no gas or electric to the residence.

  • I'm going to go out on a limb and guess it wasn't a lightning strike. Well, not a Mother Nature "lightning" strike, anyway. STAY SAFE!

  • Another great video.... STAY SAFE! lol

  • Apparently it wasn't as effective as I thought - just got disptached for a possible rekindle...

  • LOL yep and you got called to one in my neck of the woods.

  • To close the loop on the rekindle - it was handled with a single 2 1/2 gallon PW extinguisher. Nothing more was required...

  • You can see the engine location in the foreground in front of the fire and see the accessibility problem that was faced. The crash truck couldn't have made better access to the dwelling until the front end loader had cleared away much of the brush & trees against the home. In addition, the crash truck on location wasn't equipped with an elevated nozzle - something that was needed. Eventually the airport brought in their Snozzle and it was used as an effective overhaul tool.

  • Makes me wonder, would the Airport Fire Truck have what is needed to put this fire out quick? With the foam it carries and the high pressure it uses, couldn't this truck make a difference in a short amount of time?

  • yep plus they were one of the first on scene.

  • wrong month newsworking :-)

  • Thanks! Its been changed.

  • @newsworking why respond with a crash truck? for more water? and pump and roll

  • As always great video. Keep them coming

  • The tires on that Airport Truck seem massive a long with the truck itself!
