I just got my Droid today and I cant even get the battery cover to come off...its getting frustrating!!!!

This is what I did for my Droid... I cut my business card in half and used that ... worked perfect

Theres always some flaws with new products. Similar issue with the macbook pro battery door when they first came out last year. Good, simple quickfix. Hope my battery door will be snug!

I'd recommend returning it... I've had two Droids, both had "rock solid" snug backplates. Just say that the back plate always comes off, they'll replace it for ya... BTW, when you resign into your google account on the NEW Droid, all your apps will be automatically synced back up... That was a surprising delite when I exchanged my first one.

That's pretty amazing that the apps will be sync'ed up. I've been wondering that as I buy apps while having in the back of my mind that I'll be getting this phone replaced.

Yes, I'll very likely be getting the phone replaced. In the meantime, the cover will stay snugly in place.
