  • How do you maintain "moisture"? I deep condition 1x for moisture in order to retain length.

  • Hi, sorry if you've answered this question before, but how do you keep your hair moisturized between the time you flat iron and your next wash? Thanks in advance. :)

  • @ duhnewme I was having problems with shedding n flaking and breakege until I started using extra virgin olive oil reduced everything...there is always going to be some shedding anybody who tells u different is full of bs ur hair has to shed just a little to keep your scalp healthy a little shedding is your scalps way for letting more oxygen in and to get rid of dead hair that's just taking up space

  • Your care techniques have opened my eyes!!!!! wow I want to try the blowdrying gentle methods you've described!!!! so excited!!! many many thanks!!!

  • just started my hair journey as well. please subscribe!

  • my hair grows really fast when I leave it naturally because I am biracial and have really curly hair but when I comb it out when it's wet it's more of a wavy type but I straighten it every now and then

  • A lot of ppl would say, "eeww she didn't wash her hair for 5 weeks"...but there's something about not washing hair for that length of time...my sis has midback length hair and she washes every 3-4 weeks...but if i had that much hair i definitely wouldn't wash my hair every week either! lol

  • in the description box you say that you did not wash your hair for 5 weeks..do you moisturize everyday or every other day? and what do you use to moisturize your braids? i just did box braids and i am spritzing my hair with water to moisturize my braids...love your hair btw :)

  • I am currently going natural to promote hair growth. I now have 3 inches of new growth, but hair is shedding really bad do you know any good hair products to help moisturize natural hair?

  • can you please tell me how to keep my edges from breaking?

  • The theory why black people usually don't grow long hair is because our hair breaks off very easily. When I was growing out my hair and I took out my braids and combed my hair with a pic, I would get a hair ball about half the size of my palm. Even if I just washed my hair, hair would be all in the tub. How do you stop the breakage so that your hair continues to keep it's length?

  • @TheBaltimoreKnight wash and condition your hair at least once a week and the key is to KEEP YOU HAIR STRETCHED. there are many ways to do this. many do twists or braids. twists are less tension on the hair and scalp.please dont buy into the myth that not washing your haiir for 2 months is going to make it grow faster. dirty scalp=stunted hair growth. thats just fact. a clean scalp is so so important to growing your hair at its maximum attainable growth rate

  • is it something u put in ur hair that made it grow so long or did u just keep it in braids

  • has anyone ever toled you that u were mixed??? and when u denied it... they called u a lyer???? this recently happened to me..

  • i now have 4 months of new growth! woot woot

  • Love ur hair

  • Hey Girl I am natural and i want to grow out my hair out. Is conrowing the best option? I want to start going to African braiding shop because i do not know how to make neat braids. I would be happy to hear your thoughts and how did you grow your hair out?

  • hey =) how do you manage to keep your hair so straight after 5 weeks without blowdrying it or using your flat iron?

    you hair is amaizing!

(sorry for my english, i am french).

  • i love your hair.

  • i love your hair.

  • the key to growin your hair long is to maintain length

  • towards 0:45, what products and what steps did you use to flat iron your hair. It looks great

  • You had those in 4 a month and they look that fresh??? how do you do it?

  • I do agree with as long as you take good care of it hair grows whether blow dried or flat ironed. i had my hair blow dried every time before kinky twists or conrows were put in my hair and it grew very nicely. no damage at all.

  • oh i am sorry you are natural.very soft and beautiful

  • Do you flatiron your hair before braiding?

  • Wow! Those braids looked good. I can't wait until my hair grows out.

  • my hair use to be like that i,want it back i need advice any body comment please

  • LOL @ build a bridge! Lovely hair girl.

  • Chemicals are in products you use on your hair LHDC. Some women do have VERY thick hair, your thickness or more with a relaxer. I don't think it's "chemicals and hair". People would argue that something isn't right with heat from blow dryers on hair" but you (LHDC) have kept your thickness. It's caring for hair correctly. No matter what state. People can keep thickness with relaxers like you keep thickness with your use of blow dryers which can thin hair out as well over time if not careful.

  • You know, I actually agree with this.

  • I just can't believe those braids were in for 4 weeks. I would have had to sleep standing up the whole month for my braids to still look like that.

  • LOL..same here

  • @eutopiaj It seems like the style held up because her hair is healthy and all the same length so she doesn't have stray hairs ruining the style.

  • @eutopiaj She clearly took pics at the beginning of the braids.

  • can u bestow ur little knowlegde on the rest of us. how were u ablbe to keep ur lenght? my hair grows at a fair rate but i cant keep the lenght. if i perm it i can keep a relaxer for 8 months i havent permed it in a year im attempting to go natural please tell me its not as time consuming as it looks

  • my little knowledge is in the rest of my vids.

My hair is time consuming(idk about ALL naturals), but I love touching my hair, styling my hair and caring for it. You reap what you sow.

  • all i can do i wish one day...Hey i've been a good girl mayB Santa will grant my wish and give me a bunch of long natural hair 4 xmas..LOL nooo i learned my lesson gonna grow it out the right way and have length like ur's happy holidays.

  • LOL

    happy holidays :P

  • beautiful

  • cool! thx for posting that. ;-)

  • yes and I agree and now I understand why people including blacks feels that we can't grow long hair. Because of all the chemicals that we put in our hair that other races of woman don't put in their hair

  • It's 65% genetics and 35% good hair care 2 b exact, thank u 4 the video little lady, ACE those finals and keep it movin girl!!!

  • I don't know about those percentages, but I finshed my finals and I am soooooo relieved!

    take care

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!.. AGAIN... I am so glad I found your channel*

  • ty so much <3

    happy holidays!

  • This was a great video because my new growth looks just like dat after 4 weeks and i was so upset bcuz i thought it wasn't growing like it should have. thanks a bunch!!!!

  • well knowing that actually makes ME feel better lol. Ty for watching, yw.

  • I'm glad to know I'm not alone. My hair grows very, very slowly! Thanks for posting you just inspired me.

    you're welcome, ty for watching

Beautiful hair as always, thnx for the update ;-)

  • thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took my last one today, i'm FREEE lol

  • I am soooo jealous but in a good way!!!

  • uhh....lol.. thanks?!

  • LOL@build a bridge, too funny. Great video.

  • :P lol

ty for watching and reading the descrip box!

    happy holidays

  • excellent video!!! i love your hair! i can only imagine 20-30 years from now when all the women who have learned so much over the net and from ppl like urself on YT have & raise their daughters and the misconception of black women all have short hair will be erradicated. thank u so much for sharing!

  • @EbonyCPrincess I agree alot of people are going natural because of woman like her. My hair grows better and fuller now that I went natural

  • ty so much :D

  • your hair keeps soo neat if this 5 weeks with cornrows in....cornrows dont last long in my hair 2 days tops by day 3 its a frizzy mess

  • the braids are 4 weeks. I think they look awful lol, but ty.

when my hair was shorter it w ould fuzz so much.

  • I'm so glad you said that because my hair is so fuzzy right now and I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong other than not styling it tighter. 2 years ago I went to a hair stylist and even though my hair was shorter she was able to make it look perfectly in place with this special foam stuff. So now I don't feel so bad. Maybe in another 3 years my hair won't be so frizzy :)

  • I must say you do a great job with your hair. You are proof that "good hair" comes from "good care"

  • @labatimamzelle You summed it all up right there for natural hair!

  • hey I love your vids!!

I am going natural without the BC and it's so hard!

but I just wanted to know, How do you get your hair to look so shiny and straight?! It looks way better than how people's hair w/ a relaxer looks, in my opinion..

I wish more people can see that black women with natural hair can have long healthy hair!!!

AHH you are my inspiration :)

  • i like the message behind this... gives a "you can too" feeling. good luck w/finals!

  • yes... thanks for sharing..

  • love it young one, I love it!

  • ur words (albeit unspoken) were perfect. thanks for sharing.

  • Your hair look's so soft

  • thank you :)

  • thank you for this video!

  • you are so welcome!

I really wanted to show these pics because some people want results NOW, when it takes time lol

  • Exactly why I'm glad you put it up. ppl think when they see long hair that that person's hair grows faster than the average joe (or josephina! lol)

  • wow that's a lot

  • really?? I think it's such a small amount of growth :(

I took these pics because I will try hair vitamins soon and document the changes...then eventually make a vid comparing the 2 in all stages.

    ty for watching :)
