you could always cut the horns off we have had to do that on some of ours... take a bicycle tube and tie it tight at the base and cut them off with a saws all leave tube on 24 hours
nice to see them out, i cant believe how cold it actually is! silage is guna be a week or two behind i think this year with the cold weather weve had. id imagine its abit dangerous with that cow having them horns like that, it could easily do a bit of damage, is it possibly too late to get them cut off considering the size of them? anyway, i guess its starting to warm up now, so there will be some more activity im guessing nice to see you uploading again, kepp these great vids coming?
@Portnob Still possible to get those horns removed but would have to be done by a vet. Usually i remove horn buds when they are calves but i missed this one
very good video, here on spain, the dairy farmers, close the farms because the prices of the milk are very low... about 0.25 € ... we close our dairy farm, 15 years ago, and on 1995 the prices are on 0.3 €/ litre... it's impossible live with those prices... How pay on scotland? Beautiful cows.
Good luck to you! We sold our herd several years ago for finacial reasons. Fewer and fewer farms here in rural Pennsylvania, too. Sad to see them all go.
they look so much better when they are not dehorned, i was beginning to think this was a hornless breed till i see this video and a few others
