  • I missed this video! haha!

1 thing I did notice is the Inbetweener pic I made is on your wall (real wall not a bloody facebook wall which might I add is not even a wall any more what am I on about it never was a wall!!!! annoying myself now. . .moving on) wow I feel so cool that it made it on your ‘real’ wall and on to a tommytankvideo! x

  • @begood20000 Hey. Glad my video's have helped. There doesn't seem to be much out there about it from people who have gone through it so I thought it would be a good idea. Yeah I had the manometry as well. And yes the tube is definitely thicker. Inot so bad after a while but when it first hits your throat from the nose it is total gag!!

  • Thanks for both of your videos, your attitude has really put me at ease. Did you just get the 24 hour PH monitoring or did you get the esophageal manometry two. I think the tube used for the esophageal manometry is way bigger = more gagging.

  • @atikker Hey man. What's the EGD? What does that involve? I don't think I've had one of them? Have you had the pH monitor doneyourself or did they just do te ultrasound on its own? Glad to be of help with my videos, it's exactly the reason I uploaded them because there's not much info out there from people that have already gone through it! Tommy

  • Hey stranger! How about some personal questions, aye?! Firstly, what symptoms do you have and how often? Secondly, what medications do you take, and when? Thirdly, what "lifestyle changes" (like raising the head of your bed, and avoiding spicy foods) have you made and do you notice a difference? Fourthly, how long as acid reflux been bugging you? Sorry about the tons of questions, I've been fighting the burn for quite some time and sometimes it helps to get outside perspective. Cheers!

  • @atikker Hello, I have acid burps and burning pains travelling up my throat

I take omeprazole once a day in the morning which stops the symptoms for a day, if i forget to take it the next day then I'm in pain again. So the pills only prevent it for a day rather than cure it all together

Lifestyle changes haven't really helped in my case. The main thing I tried was giving up alcohol for a month, not that I drank much anyway, I only drink once a week down the pub however thought it was .......

  • @atikker ....... worth a try! But after a month I was still in pain. I've tried not eating spicy foods and all that but the pain is no less.

I've had this problem for about 4 years, I first noticed it when I was abroad in Spain, the hot weather seemed to make it worse, even drinking water was painful. Pretty much got worse everytime I went abroad coz of the hot weather but now with the pills it's fine

So what about you? Have you had any appointments with the doctors or anything?

  • @tommytankvideo Hey! Thanks for answering. I have the same symptoms as you but I take Nexium once a day. I've been to the doctor but on an NHS-type program so it's been rather slow, I've had an EGD (which was normal) and an ultrasound which found a gallstone, so I'm hoping that's the problem even though it's unlikely. Your pH monitoring video was really helpful to me, thanks for that. I hope your heartburn stops! To be vulgar, it sucks asshole. You seem nice enough, it should leave you alone! ;)
