The first time I heard the original classical it was on Space 1999 Dragons Domain

I was just a small kid then but it left an impact much later in my dj years I wanted to remix it but life's priorities got in the way.

MAN alive. That is epic. It's so unfortunate that I have to listen to 3 minutes of downright beats before getting to it. I mean, come on... I LOVE trance music... but that intro was quite poor.

yeah exactly. I love these classical-to-trance pieces, but it would be better if they started out with a melody (like adiego for strings) and build up in the rytym area, instead is listen to , more or less, empty rythm parts that are stuck in the first 1 chord for minutes. You kinda have to sit out those parts in order to a get a few minutes of melody. If they just made the song shorter, it would be an improvement (not sure about repeating the melody 10 times - could get boring)

If thats your preference when it comes to dance music, you should look for tracks that have radio edit in the title, tyhis indicates that the long intro and the gradual tailing away of the melodies towards the end have been edited out.

The reason that trance tracks etc. are produced like this is so you can mix them into the last tune while playing a set, play the 3+ minute main body of the song and then have something to mix the next track into.
