  • Guppys will occasionally suprise you with a genetic mystery!

  • i begn with 2 orange guppies , somehow i ended up with like 20-30 one with purple, teal, pink, black colours O.o

  • ..... Nice

  • You got beautiful guppies there!

do you cross any colors guppies? or do pure color?

  • You reall should not be doing this. They will become stressed when they are startled and moved around.

  • Yeah well my guppy had a few babies and idk if she ate any but theres some in there and the pet store dude said the fry should be just fine in my tank with all the Duckweed to hide in. We shall see how it goes with them free to swim uncaged. Wish me luck! Or rather, wish them luck! ;D

  • Really?!?! You don't know why they died?!? Wow. Let's just say that betas and guppies don't mix. Do some research before you own another pet.

  • i bought my guppies at a pet store and wen i got home i left them in there baggie and later i let them in with the betta and gold fishies that i got on that same day too, i woke up the next day and they die. i wanna know why =[

  • how old are they?

  • wait a minute how big is that tank? you putting lots of guppies in that tank? are you crazy?

  • How old were they when you released them?

Yes, I know about the mouth thing, but i just want to know how old about they were when you release them.

  • i only use guppys too feed my oscars lmao

  • I love my guppies to bitz! I got 2 adults - male and female, and 2 small babiez that are big enough not to get eaten by the adultz. My female gave birth just a week ago and Ive counted 5 or 6 fry. I knew that she was pregnant but I didnt know when she gave birth - just looked at my fish bowl and saw the fry! I was so excited!

  • when ya get guppy they might not all suvive cus the shock luckily i got 6 3 female 3 males all the females r pregnant and they survive im sorry for u guys who lost them nver buy dem from walmart

  • do u sell them?

  • if u have too muchh guppies lets me knows! i might would buy some from u!

  • WOW! Do you sell guppies for kg ?

    can I buy 1 kg ? :D:D:D

  • guppies are nice fish to take care they breed easily i'm sad because my blue metallic male guppy jumped out in my aquarium and my brother said to me that my guppy is dead he may rest in peace:(

  • So sorry for your loss. Guppies will take the fatal leap on occasion!

  • @alicechaos livebearers like guppies are great jumpers is it true?

  • @alicechaos Yeh. That's true, they leap pretty high. My guppies live in a small pond. One of them saw the water from the fountain coming down and it leaped so high, but luckily it didn't get out because the water kinda pushed him down. Do you have a lid on your tank? By the way, your guppies are nice, especially the long red tail one at 0:33

  • @alicechaos :i bought my guppies at a pet store and wen i got home i left them in there baggie and later i let them in with the betta and gold fishies that i got on that same day too, i woke up the next day and they die. i wanna know why =[

  • Did you let them in just like that? I think they may have been shocked by the waters temperature

  • @guitarmanaddi :how do u keep ur water clean? bc my water is like kinda dirty from 2 fantail goldfish,2platys.2 mollies, i have a filter and a bubble eblower; they make it dirty soo fast . i think imma change some of its water today?

  • @nnnneeeedddd Sorry for ur loss but SHEESH! Seperate your sentances! Ever heard of a period? It looks like this.

  • those awesome guppies!!! i love them! i hope you breeding more themm,,

  • can i have some guppies i live in the US

  • What type of male guppies do you have? They are beautiful!

  • Nothing special, just mongrels! They thank you!

  • @alicechaos wow. i wish i had what you did. mine always breed and have babies but i miss it. i have a birthing tank but they never do it even after a month and if i leave them in too long they get sick... i see all these people that start with only like 3 guppies and get hundreds sooner or later, without even trying or better yet knowing. i almost tried overstocking my tank with males and female guppies and i only got seven from 7 males and 7 females in a 10 gallon tank. still no luck!!

  • nice.. i have some fry to .. but i don't seem to get them to grow.. they caind of dying .:) can you give me any tips ..? i think the aier is the problem..

  • i have male like that one at 13 sec :D their beutiful :)

  • I think some of his sons are still in the tank.

  • sweet i got 50 guppies.

  • i like that male at 13 sec.

  • I think some of his great grandchildren are still around...

  • i also like the one that is comming out of the lil tank at 43 sec. i wished they saled them at the store but they dont...Sucks.

  • what the place where the mother gives birth to them?

  • damn how many gallon is your tank, mate?

    its pretty crowded eh?

you should sell some for your friends for like a dollar so you can save some for another tank.

  • That was a 30 gal tank, not as crowded as it appears.

  • ok because im just letting them mate with whever they want and wanted to know if they would have pretty offspring. yours have so im not worried

  • do you just let your fish mate with whoever it wants with, or do u select?

  • I try keeping some of the females virgin for select breeding, but havent had the patience to do it the "right" way. I normally take a few females I think are virgin and place them in a tank with what I feel are my best males and hope for the best. Since I'm not working with really exceptional fancy guppies, I'm lucky if they produce interesting fry.

  • And btw, when they get stress, the guppies will get sick, and probably die. Cause you dont know how to treat fish with a medicine.

Probably, you will put a aspirine in, to see how it works, so stupid you are.

  • My grandpa used to give aspirin to dying fish and it always worked lol

  • you serious u are lying right cause im going to do that

  • not lying, lol, he said he'd just put an aspirin in the water

i have no proof that this works, but my grandpa said it did and so did my mom

they also used it on their duckling when it ate a poisonous flower and almost died, and it worked :P

  • so it does work?

  • according to them it does

i wouldn't try it though, unless I was pretty sure a fish was about to die and i would move it into a seperate tank

  • awite

  • Wow, this guy is a cunt.

  • That tank is way too crowded. You are stressing out the fish.

  • Not to mention you dont seem to have anything for the babies to hide in/under. Guppies are cannibalistic, like most fish, they will eat there own young if /when they find them and they are young enough.

  • viva la evolucion

  • Stop with doing that,

You say no fish was harmed, but they get alot of stress by getting caught, in a small box(however what it is)

  • that's a....rearing tank i think. and yes....guppies get stressful when they know something is blocking them in between....or they are in a container within a container....they always die in a few days time.

  • That can't be good, what your doing to the fish...you sure know how to stress them out!

And yes, guppies will eat their fry, I've seen it happen, that's when I start to stress out haha

  • Im going to stick a guppy up your penis whole bitch.

  • do u put the male and female in the net to breed or do u put them in the tank to breed.

i know u put the female in the net to have babys

i'll subsribe if u tell me and put it on my page i will give u a good reputation if u do that

  • Your putting stress on the fish.

  • uymm no the parent do not eat the babys when there small i have breed thses fish in the past and still fiddle around with them every no and then they are simple to breed and great fish to start off breeding

by the way man y would u put ur fish through all that stress you idiot

  • Lol man. Then apparently you don't know enough. Guppies eat their own babies. I've seen it myself. =.=

  • they will only eat there babies if they are deformed or have something rong with them, mate i hve breed these fish for years and i have never seen them eat there own healthy fry

  • I've been breeding guppies, endlers and other live bearers for 15 years, and I can confirm they will eat their young regardless of how healthy they are. Why do you think there are so many breeding traps on the market that seperate the fry from the parents?

  • lol noob.... you look silly now cuz everyone knows you'r wrong and ur now being an ass.

  • Thay will still eat them if they are still healthy.

  • Lol should i eat my babies?

  • I have... It gave birth then the fish swam around infront of the mother.. so the mother ate it as guppies are carnivoris omnivores.. asshole mothers...

  • the parents do eat the baby when their small. guppies don't stop breeding. I have segregate mine into 2 different aquariums. One for male and the other for females.

  • dont the parents eat the babies???

    when they are small??

  • can u buy breeder tyanks at petsmart or walmart????

  • yeah.

  • what is a bredder tank?

  • Its a tank were you put a pregnant guppy. Or you can put one male and one female and they will mate

  • guppies are usually bought pregnant and they can hold sperm inside for up to six birthings. If you want to make a specific male mate with a female and have its sperm used then have the male in a tank alone with the female after she is done giving birth. This will ensure his sperm is used for the next batch.

Females should be seperated when giving birth as they will eat their own young.

  • how big is the tank? beautiful guppies... did you breed them all or only some?

  • They are in a 30 gal tank. They did most of the breeding on their own, althought I have attempted to breed certain males with 'virgin' females.

  • Ohhh ok lol.. yeah thats a pretty big tank lol.. guppies reproduce so fast lol.. too fast :O

  • i have 52.. a 5 gallon tank... what should i do?!?!?! guppies for sale... guppies for sale... ughhh... dont breed guppies... i now know why there feeder fish... they dont stop having sex!!!

  • You can probably give surplus guppies back to the pet shop.

  • haha xD i love breeding guppies and getting new color strains or stuff out of them lol... but yeah.. i agree slipnot62.. they do multiply quite fast lol.. uncontrollably fast.. like you could open your own guppy shop in a few months so many... lol xD

  • poor guys =(

  • thats not good for them and its not nice. so stop.

  • I'll try...

  • what did you do that for? I'm just asking.

  • I think it was because I just got my digital camera and like messing with my fish.

  • Did that make them stressed? Because whe ever you mess or bother them they get stressed. And please don't that again, because it's not very nice to the guppies. Just sayin.

  • I don't think that bothered them too much, as they were in there for only a few minutes. But I've discovered that too many flash pictures in a row can be very stressful, so I've stopped doing that.

  • alot of em lol but you should get another tank they look crowded lol but sell them for a 1.00 each make sum money!

  • take out all but 3 of ur mlaes and see them do "it" =Þ

  • Been there, done that. :-)

  • lol my baby guppies are now 5month old one of the females just gave birth to 2 mini baby guppies

  • can i ahve some

  • how many do you got? how many do you think?

    Please answer ASAP!

  • Oh dear, I have no idea!!! In the whole 30 gallon tank maybe 75 - 100 including fry.

  • baby guppy i mean

  • Not all new born guppies are perfect. I had one with two heads! He lived for about four months.

  • i have one deformed guppy.if you shine a torch on it at night you can see it's translucent body showing the digested food.his body's like a small ball

  • wow, i wish i have guppies like urs, they are so nice:).. i have guppies too

and they are 3 week old.. shuld i release them to my 170L aquarium? cuz they was like over 60.. and now they are less then 30...

i have 6 platy, 10 guppies and 1 silver shark.

is there a chance to survive?

plz help me, 1-3 guppies dye everyday.. plz help:)

  • If you give them enough places to hide they may have a chance in the big aquarium. I suggest not mixing the water they are in now, with the 170 l tanks's water. Its possible their curent water contains a disease or something. Good luck! P.S. I'm NOT a fish health expert so you may want to do some Google searches on guppy health.

  • ok... thx for the tip:)

i done some search on the net... but it doesnt say why guppy babies die.

    thx for the help:)

  • guppy fry are very sensitive to water quality-not saying your waters dirty but water thats fine for adult fish can be too polluted for the fry(they are very sensitive to nitrate)-also I lost a few of mine to velvet/fungus so I treated the rest with a half dose of protazin-some people do this as a preventative measure with fry

  • my guppy is gonna have fry very very soon...look at my video on my acoount called (video) : 'Very Pregnant Guppy'

    Fo0xY

  • thanks,

    but what do you do?

becasue it seems hard to do the breeder thingy with all your guppies

  • I use a baby trap and keep the fry in traps for a week or so, and then let them loose in a well planted 30 gallon aquarium.

  • WOW you have alot of guppies

how do you take care of them after they give birth or do you just let them breed and dont do anything

plz reply cuz i got some and one is pregnate and i dont know if i should let them be or get a breeder thingy

  • If you want to make sure the fry survive, get a baby trap. Good luck!

  • WHOA HOW MANY GUPPIES DO YOU HAVE!??

How do you get them all?

DO you take care of them from birth?

  • I'm not sure how many I have. I haven't bought any new guppies in at least two years, so these guys are all related.

  • i DID THE WATER CHANGE AND NOW THEY SEEM TO BE SWIMMING FINE. sTRANGE. Thanks alot. I just got 3 more mixed guppy males from Wal*Mart and they are beautie. I had already got 4 females. Then I just found 2 baby guppies!!! they were just born and i think the rest got eaten or the mother only had a few. YeaH!

  • My Guppies are sick :-(... They are swimming funny. It almost lokks like they are wobbling side to side. Can you help?

    I Love your Gupps!!

  • I'm really not an expert with fish diseases or guppies, I can only suggest doing a 25% water change and cleaning the gravel. By the way, when guppies get old they seem to wobble more. If your guppies are more than a year old they could be wobbling from old age. I also suggest doing a Google search on guppy health, or visit one of the guppy related websites - you'll find better information there. Good luck!

  • it could be a swim bladder disease there's no cure for it

  • WOW!!! Nice looking gupps. I breed Japanese Panda Guppies. What strain are your guppies or are they a mix??? I would LOVE to have some guppies like yours. Yours truly, tcfuturevet

  • Thanks! These guys are a total mix of who knows what. They all started with a yellow snakeskin, a couple tuxedo (dark blue?) and a couple I don't even recall what they were but were nice.

  • nice family of guppies :)

  • Cool

  • i swear to god ur guppy tank is awsome!

mine is gunna look lik that one day

  • Thanks!

  • Cool! hey yesterday, I discovered a whole school of baby Koi in my Koi pond. They are about 2 or 3 inches long. I guess they just came out of hiding, because they are now too big to be eaten by the bigger ones.

  • How do they look?

  • Well, they don't look as good as these fish you have here, from what I could tell. But it was hard to get a good look. I don't think they are Butterfly Koi either, I knew I should have taken those common Koi out of there.
