Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20 Photos

I have this camera. I love how it works with close up. It's amazing and fast at that. Otherwise making late night pictures look very noisy. I hate it. And it's video quality isn't so great with zoom.

i have this camra and the close up pictures are amazing. it has an unbelievable macro setting for the price. however its garbage in low llight situations, and landscape shots.

I Got the same camera and when i found out how to make the photos sharp , they are to bright instead in M mode , can be the apeture setting but many people use the 3,5 setting . Could be my shutter speed too . But whitout flash indoors they get picth black almost if you use the m mode

Hey the photos must have been compressed as you rendered it right. Because the resolution is way higher then 480p.

Yes me too , do you also get noisy and often blurry images too ? I do and i haven`t find a good setting to fix it yet . Maybe my camera is defected .

The dynamic range does not look good. Look at the background -it's all black.

hello! i am REALLY considering buying this camera. I want a point n shoot, yet with slr capability (like the macro shots it can take) however, the only thing is the size. Im a college student who likes going out and capturing all those fun moments. will it do or is it too big to b carrying around. thank you!!!

@fudgesiclez - I have the same camera, and it is slightly bigger than the standard digital camera, yet it isnt too big. It should come with a strap for it, but im not quite sure. If not, there should be a camera bag that can hook onto a jeans loop or hang around your neck. It really isnt that heavy.

Do you know how to use sport mode in H20 effectively because when I use this mode, the photos are very dark and ugly. =.='

If you know nothing about cameras you can put this one on the "easy" setting (yes it literally has an easy mode lol), and by doing that you can get beautiful pictures with no problem. If you learn more about cameras there are other settings you can play with.

It does shoot HD video, however I don't think the sound quality is all that great. It's not the worst I've heard, but if you're looking for a camera mostly for video I would get something different.

hey guys.. any suggestion for removing/reducing noice in images.. yes i know we need to keep ISO level low..

and how do you save images to yr pc..?? i mean pics are 4 to 5 MB in size, whats the best method to reduce size and save? and what should be done for the videos?

Actually, they were all taken within 10-15 minutes of each other :-p It was a first day I had the camera...just messing around when I got home from work :-)

What manual controls are available on this camera?

you can change aperture (only 2 choices), shutter speed (from 30 seconds to 1/2000th of a second) and iso, white balance, sharpening, etc, basically everything but focus (you can't really focus manually without a real optical viewfinder anyway)

Some of the pictures look a little dark, did you make it like that on purpose? I know that the pictures look brighter on the camera screen
