  • there goes the engine....

  • Brilliant....could watch video all day

  • como q se exito............ hehehehe

  • first! OMG wuaaaauuu!!! and later!!! jajajajajajajajajajajajajjjjajjaaj!!!!! roflmao!!!!

  • ВСЕ В НОРМЕ ПРОСТО ПЕРЕЛЕТ И РЕЗКО ТОРМОЗНУЛ??!!!

  • 0:58 "Got Rocks" Haha Love it!

  • 1:50 for fun

  • that nose over must have been costly.... probably need to rebuild that engine

  • I can't believe that guy continued his takeoff after the prop strike @1:34 WTF!!!!?? That's just asking for some Darwinism

  • Whoa, I bet that last prop strike was costly.

  • also the one that crashed its not that big of a deal all he needs is a new propeller couple hundred MAYBE. not bad. thats kinda why i dont like bush planes cuz they tip over too easy.

  • the one at 0:30 sounds like my weed eater. LOL

  • THIS is amazing! As a pilot for years, I've never even heard of this spectator sport! I gotta give it a go.

  • was there any wind?

  • glad i fly a da20 lol

  • 143 awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • The Super Cub is the trickyest plane but also the best!

    Thumbs Up!

  • 1:53 "GOD DAMMIT!!!" :D

  • What a nice lnading, he destroyed the plane.

  • Thats one sweet flying boat in the background, wonder what it is

  • land it in my backyard

  • look at those damn wheels at 0:44 man

  • Anyone else hear the "God dammit" at 1:53?

  • Spend more time waiting for buffering then I do watching, with a highspeed connection, what a pain in the @s$

  • I've done that in a C150. I made contact with the sheet metal under the tail before the tires!

Damn! I hate when that happens.

  • Comment removed

  • Did the prop actually hit? It sure looks like it. 1:31

  • @flintp51 It did. You can just about hear a little buzzing sound when it touches the ground

  • @FSX7340 yea, i hear it now. The first time was on my phone with headphones. I like the sound real low just encase i run into a screamer :/ check out the first plane. I do believe he struck the tail!

  • errm...

    fail ? :D

  • To the best hunter is going pigeon

  • Hipsters of aviation :)

  • @150 he was like one way or another im stopping.

  • I'm new to all this but with the prop strike guy - wouldn't he hear and feel that?

And if so why would he continue to take off?

  • @FPVandotherprojects Oh he did, doesnt mean he cant fly it. One idiot who rented a DA-40 at my airport propstriked a DA-40 somehow and took off with it again claiming he didnt know it was damaged.

  • 1:53 You can hear the pilot yelling GOD DAMMIT. lol

  • they cant fly...amateurs

  • your prop godamit

  • Local mechanics must get really good business on this day ;P

  • What's the machine with the radial ????

    George/CZ

  • 1:44 "Yayyyy.. ..Ohu!

  • whoops.

  • What´s the second plane?

  • Damage to the airplane: minor. Damage to the health of the pilot: none. Damage to the ego of the pilot: substantial.

  • @Warrantti The big soft wheels began for their ability to roll over head-size rocks , when operating in Alaska; landing on sandbars & riverbeds. Here , despite their weight & drag , they allow a bigger Rotation-Angle on Take-off , due to the raised Axle-height from extra diameter. Swings & Roundabouts, really. My guess is the fashìon's wrong.Low-drag Lightness levitates best (on smooth ground).

  • Why these planes have so massive front wheels?

  • @Warrantti For landing on REALLY rough surfaces possibly with very large rocks, crevices, what not. It's a complete necessity in a rugged landscape such as you find in the far Northwest into British Columbia and Alaska.

  • Is the prize for the comp really worth risking a $1000 prop (yes, it could be less) and a couple of $k worth of motor - let alone the airframe? They're interesting to watch but it looks like a great way to wreck a perfectly good aircraft.

  • AHAHAHHAHA listen carefully after the crash at 1:52 "GOD DAMMIT" AHAHAH

  • @lectar15 haha, it was probably the same person going WOOO! at 1:47

  • hihihi good stop

  • That last plane..."That is how you come to a fast stop!....Hey I got to plane to stop didn't I?!

  • The pilot at 0:53 - Karl Pilkington!

  • What a great vid! :D

  • it's still good! it's still good!

  • the first crash GOD DAMIT in the background

  • 1:51 That's what I call a 3-point landing. ;-)

  • that guys prop made his landing so much shorter!!

  • All good pilots :O)

  • 1:51 "oowww, shit happens.."

  • Thats an engine rebuild

  • Let me guess, this event was sponsored by local A&P mechanics.

  • I like the announcer at the end, "That hurts."

  • WOOOW 1:03 THAT is just amazing takeoff!

  • GotDamit

  • Wow, this last one was a big idiot....--'

  • 1:23, thats a Bush pilot with skills, and care for his airframe, notice how he goosed the throttle to keep the tail wheel drop nice and soft.

  • When the last plane crashes sombody yells GOD DAMMIT!

  • @aircraftfreak737.... What are the odds it was his wife!?!?!?

  • just seemed like one when he hit the brakes and flipped over thats all maybe a great pilot with a bad day Alaskan Pilots are the BEST i know hands down I am a Helicopter pilot thousands of hours and dont push my AC to limits thats all

  • 1:51 That sound is hart breaking :'-(

  • Looks like someone needs a ride home

  • WHY WHY WHY do this shit your guys keep pushing the AC to the limits they will bite you. O bunch of guys showing off then get mad when the AC fights back SAFTEY SAFTEY SAFETY

  • @LaRobertos its like saying why do aerobatic pilots do aerobatics. LOL!

  • @straighttailpilot also I dont think would be comparable to aerobatic stunt flying but owell its not my crashed AC

  • @LaRobertos wel.... its a sport what do you expect. we are tailwheel pilots. and beyond that BUSHPILOTS. We know the dangers of flying low and slow and honking on the brakes haha. its a refined skill. I dont think an aerobatic pilot could jump in a supercub and do what we do nor we could jump in an extra 300 and do what they do. and I have done both. I have a friend that owns a 300 and he flies a supercub but hes no bushpilot.

  • 1:50, arghh the sound of an aircraft prop being crunched and twisted just gives me the shivers.

  • @BayHike ok good point I guess but still not good for aviation but still good point on your end guess thats why there is more tham one view point. Onr thing most stunt pilots are trained for years before try stunts not some weekend worriers

  • @LaRobertos you consider alaskan bushpilots weekend warriors?

  • epic ending for the video

  • Reactions at 1:48:

    :D

    "Woooooh!"

    XO

    "OOoooh!..."

  • You can hear the stall horn on the 152. wow

  • @sigair

    I couldn't.

  • @sigair You mean the "GODDAMMIT!"?

  • @mobius1aic Its not a "GODDAMMIT!" till your verticle speed drops

  • @sigair blades whistleing man stall horns are in the plane normally not heard out side of it

  • All are bush pilot experts. Respect;.... but poor pilot at the last try. We call that a "Fliegerdenkmal" = pilots monument.

  • HOw nice!

    ....Unfortunately last man has failed.

  • New parking procedures? could stack 12 blue/whites in a 40x40 hangar like that.

  • tailstrike

  • that is a nice seaplane at 0:40, under the plane after it took off. let's see that baby fly!

  • 1:53 GODDAMNIT

  • Got Rocks? is my fuckin boy!

  • I'd be a little worried about catching a piece of propeller standing that close to a plane during a prop-strike.

  • Looks like an albatross in the background round :27 or so.

  • The guy with the modified yellow cub totally beasted that takeoff, 50 ft maybe? Incredible.

  • hahahahahahah big money down the drain!!!!!

  • whats the third and fourth plane that took off?

  • Some people do it naturally, some don't.

  • A little duct tape..

  • 0:35 Woa!

  • I think that was his wife yelling.

  • ok ... 1:05 ?!?! that is ridiculous !! that aircraft should be classified under helicopter !! .. it didn't even get past that first cone !!!!!!!!!!

  • lol at the saftey guy who puts his pop down and tgrots over there. 1:55

  • GOD DAMN IT!!!!!

  • haha @ the tailstrike

  • That prop strike most easily cost more than $10,000 :-(

  • That is some dang GOOD pilots right there now. That one yellow plane must have takin off within 30 to 40 feet. That was AWWWESOME.!!!!

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Awesome flying! - thanks for sharing

  • does anyone know if there's info or some web pics on the "got rocks" piper with the rear fuse uncovered

  • 1:33 woops

    sounded like a fart XD

  • dang man, they take on in like 20 feet it seems.

  • Il va marcher moins bien !

  • @SkyWestCRJPilot I'm not try'n to f@ck yer sister pal. Sheesh.

  • @SkyWestCRJPilot Sky West huh... yer an ATP grad huh.

  • Bigger wheels give the plane more lift.

  • were the planes loaded or just the pilot? (except for the one that specifically states it's experimental,) since it's competition I guess they would be loaded lightly if that.

  • poor use of great planes just showing off

  • @xgi36 Actually.. This is the real deal, A STOL Competition, I seen some of this footage in "Big rocks long Props VOL.2"

  • @xgi36 Oh shut up. U loozer.

  • hehehe. Love to hear the little cessna "whine"

  • This looks like it was a blast

  • lol tail strike at first and totally incompetent flying throughout the video.

was the competition on who can fail the most? all these douchebag "pilots" were winners in that case

  • @DeathMetalShredd666 obviously you dont know about flying and you dont know what this is about and who flies in these events. For the love of whatever you cherish.. dont comment! yeesh!

  • @straighttailpilot +1, these are some of the best pilots around. What dipped in sh!t doesn't realize is that these guys are flying on the absolute edge of the envelope. The airplane has nothing left to give them, it is amazing and requires tons of skill!

  • @fastone93 I totally agree with you. I am a bushpilot. And I know firsthand this is some of the most demanding and skilled flying one can ever do. VERY VERY skilled pilots. and your right. only a moron would not know this lol.

  • @straighttailpilot Bush pilot huh...all bush pilots I've ever met I balieve can out fly anybody. Including them hot shot navy boys n girls. I'm gonuh get me one of them bush planes. What uh ya thinks of that scooter!?

  • @TheDidlo1 well. .....scooter...... that would be great! join the ranks of the best of the best.. bush pilots!

  • @fastone93 sherdder boy...typical human being, knows everthang he thinks.

  • @straighttailpilot deathmetalshredd666...typical huming being. knows everthang he thinks...humans.....f@ck em all thats what I say. The BigRubberD!ck...has spoken. Yer welcum.

  • @DeathMetalShredd666 it's a higlight and crash video you fucking moron, you couldn't fly an airplane to save your life

  • @DeathMetalShredd666 I think you should reconsider your opinion, the real douchbag for the moment is YOURSELF...These are very good pilots, near the stall limit flying at low altitude=no recovery marge if it goes wrong...

  • @DeathMetalShredd666 Are you always that miserable? Maybe you forgot to take your medication.

  • The Cessna 150 at the beginning...did you catch the tailstrike?

  • @SenorSpode yea, that plane should b a taildragger!

  • @bigbadbenable You're aware they make a Texas Taildragger kit for the 150 and 152, right? A perfect deal in this instance. And it makes a straight-tail 150 look like a tiny 180.

  • @SenorSpode thanks, i didn't know that!

  • @bigbadbenable It's totally righteous and looks wicked on a straight-tail.

  • that's your cowling, mount, engine and prop down the drain.

    $30000,=

    a shame

a cub shouldn't be treated that way

  • xP

    it´s a funny landinG!!!!

    LOL

    jejeje

  • So did i....IT WAS HILLARIOUS!

  • Thats cheap to replace

  • What on earth is that plane at 0:26? Those flaps are massive!

  • Got Rocks (the yellow and black one) was epic. Such a nice takeoff

  • @FsxAv8r91 Magic :)

  • That's a day ruiner!

  • "God dammit!" lol. At least at worse its only a bent prop

  • @saintrobbie375 after a prop strike the whole engine needs to be taken apart and gone over with a fine tooth comb so it can be alot more then just a bent prop. it can crack or bend the shaft and many other things requiring a new engine...

  • @Pkarchpray16 True, but rebuilding the engine is a lot cheaper then writing off the aircraft. At that low speed he should be okay. Time for his "D" check though.

  • me not happy ! /the pilot

  • bet those cubs can take off with a rolls royce infront of them! hahaha.. i wonder how many inches that would take...

  • That supercub pilot had some damn good control (the one at 56)

  • How am I going to explain this to the FAA in my report ......

  • poor guy probobly needed to replace his engine too. He's a bush pilot, he can handle anythang. I'd put my money on a bush pilot over a military fly boy or gal any day. The prop strike guy was think'n..(prentend it didn't happen, just look straight ahead, take off, and just keep going)

  • Are there weight classes for different sized airplanes to compete in?

  • Got rocks looks like a Bumblbee taking flight.

  • wooow that's awesome:D

  • Aways wanted a Q-tiped Prop....Poor guy Dump the flaps and keep the back pressure on.........then the brakes

  • i know

  • @KidThatDoesEverythin thans kid the world is happier knowing that

  • tha yellow one i used to have a rc one like that

  • doh

  • @1:34 he brushed the prop and kept going...dang.

  • slammed the breaks a little too hard...

  • Lol anybody hear "God damnit!!!" when he crashed?

  • I did

  • That was the pilot hehehe :)

  • Yeah man, I hear it, it´s the owner of the plane!!!

    God damnit!!

  • yeah around 1:52 lol

  • yeah... sounds like the lady running at 2:08

  • @sk8drumdie0116 didn't hear it till you mentioned it.

  • @sk8drumdie0116 Did she pay for the insurance?

  • @sk8drumdie0116 sounded like a little kid!

  • @sk8drumdie0116 I did! jajaja

  • @sk8drumdie0116 hah yeah

  • @sk8drumdie0116 it was a small boys voice

  • @sk8drumdie0116 that was the wife LOL -

  • @sk8drumdie0116 Yeah, probably the co-owner, LOL!

  • @sk8drumdie0116 That's a $10,000 God Damn it.

  • @sk8drumdie0116 It sounded like a little kid that said it.
