Im not saying that video is edited but some are. That takes away all of his reliability and by listening to his commentary its easy to tell he knows nothing about rodeo. It's clear to me that you are gasping for anything you can. You havn't comented on anything off my post, only bring up new topics. I'll give you credit for talking to me atleast. Thiers abuse all through life. from your town to mine. dogs cats and all other pets. But you can't shut it all down for one incident. It has to be handled separtly.

@EdwardsTrey When you are coming down you shove your hips foward to stay up on your rope. When you are coming up you pull on your rope and reach for the front end.

@EdwardsTrey Pretty much,when he starting the kick you want to drive forward with your riding arm and use the power of the kick behind you to push you up over your rope. After that you want to set your hips and get down as quick as you can when the bull gets to his highest point. The point of getting up over your rope is to take the power away from the bull.

I'm riding in Iowa this weekend and this video really helped me to visualize my goal. I've been able to stay in this zone and charge the front end and it really does feel like yoru floating because teh bull has no force up there, but Gary really helped to explain what it is that I've done wrong whenever I get rocked back on my pockets in the house of pain. Very clear annd instructive video. I'll recommend this to others.

to go from zero to over a hundred miles a hour in less than a second?? one can only imagine the g force in bullriding. them ole cowboys are tough. when i rode we might have one ace in the hole at a rodeo but now at the pbr they are all aces. thats a tough day at work there. god bless.

I rode in the 70's and 80's. Gary was great with his attitude training as well. IT still comes down to just plain having the athletic talent to ride bulls.

Its supposed to encourage the bull to kick/buck. Think of it as a belt that's set too low.

Thanks for your reply..had a buddy this afternoon ask a former bull-rider friend that said predator animals always go to the flank area for a kill consequently the bull is trying to kick at that area. Looks like my long question has been answered by you folks, thanks but I'll stay off and observe the great action!! The older bull-rider did say the difference between bull riding and bronc riding is the bull tries to kill you after getting you off!!!! WOW, believe I'll pass!!
