Pure genius - I can't stop laughing at this demo though.. 1:07 = air raid, 1:16 = the Fonz, 1:27 = dying animal... the only thing that made me laugh even harder is the manual (online in .pdf format - google metasonix G1000 manual to find it) - I wish I was creative enough to make music with this but I'm not. And your measurement of volume is only your ears. Perceived volume has more to do with the cabinet construction design and materials, along with the speaker being used. A 15 watt amp is still 15 watts, it doesn't matter if the power is developed by tubes or solid state components.

It's not louder technically but yes, it sounds louder to your ears. Tube amps produce harmonics your ears are sensitive towards. Try a solid state 30 watt side-by-side with a 30 watt tube amp. The solid state would get totally lost in a live situation while the tube amp would work just fine.
