@apples21879 I just happen to play it in drop d, i believe the original is C# which makes the fretting completely different. but yes, i did it in drop d.
@magma3000 Of course we know of UnsraW xP That's a good suggestion though. I have a couple videos that I'd have to do first, but I can start working on it. It's a pretty easy song, but seems like it would be fun to play. - ImmortalReaver
Dude I gotta give it to you, what you are doing is great for people who wanna learn songs from their fav bands. You must hav alot of patience to teach step by step!
Dude is not a weird tuning!...is drop c# or Db from the top string to the last...the way you are teaching is harder...but good playing in that way...much harder than it actually is...because of the string note spacing
Nice job on the video, you're a pretty good teacher :) The only thing I wouls suggest is maybe playing some parts really slow so people understand the pattern more. I'll definitely be subscribing and checking out your other videos o__x
i checked the band score, and the final is definitely in drop D, but i'm definitely sure they play it in drop C# live, which is played considerably different then the album counterpart.
Im sorry to say that this version is not right. IFirst of all, if u look at Kaoru's fingers from Live concert, his fingers arent stretched as this video says it is. Nice try though
we dont have an age limit, but as long as you have gutar experience. Our main concentration is earing music as much as possible, so hopefully you have some background there. Send us a personal message with your background and we will respond accordingly. thanks for your comment!
Hey Yuhki, couldn't that stretch thing in the intro be played by simply playing the same note on the D string instead? It'd require some string skipping but it be a lot easier to fret.
i guess thats also possible, i didnt look into the song too much so i havnt been able to try different ways. I pretty much figured it out on the spot, and then recorded it. ill look into it more on upcoming vids
He's right the the tuning is C#G#C#F#A#D# and if you want to know who's playing what part Kaoru is coming out of the left speaker and Die is coming out of the right speaker.
Die also plays the chords, the little synth thing that you hear in the background of them playing is not kaoru playing either.. It's just a piano, Kaoru goes the octave lower, Die goes the octave higher. Die's chords are also all the way towards the 9th and 11th fret. Kaoru is quiet first verse, second verse he replays the intro
yea mate, mine problem was intro too. thanks a lot for this video and could you make a dir en grey - kodou lesson i got one problem there :( thanks a lot:)
You could always play the intro like 3rd Fret 4th string then 3rd fret 6th string. Pretty much you could bar the 3rd fret and then use your middle to push the 4th on 6th string.
this is a really good tutorial! but my fingers died in the process

Dammit! I have small hands and fingers..
Oh well i guess, anyways thanks for posting this up, it's really good! ^^
lilkitty100 2 years ago
@lilkitty100
Then instead of playing E3 and A8 (im reffering as if they were in standard tuning) play the A8 as a D3.
A string 8 = D string 3
Hope that helps!
