I experienced the whole movies like Andy, grew up together with him. 6 years when I saw Toy Story 1 & 2, and 17 when I saw Toy Story 3 came out. Imagine how much I cried when I saw the last one....
i think why this is so emotional for people is because. most of us who saw toy story are now young adults now. and when Andy drove away it was more than just saying good bye to the series. it was saying good bye to our childhood too. it was time to move on.
God, Pixar knew how to tear jerk us around for EACH FILM. I was a kid on the first Toy Story, a teenager, and then a young adult (like I am now, 26 years old) for the 3rd flick.
iv been stabbed, had guns held at me and had it ruff, and still cried at the end of toy story 3. damn you pixar for making me remember good times as a kid. im 21 now and just watched it, i must say as a hardened person even i cant forget those times. how can you? this should start up a toy drive for those who are unfortunate and dont have any, what do you guys think?
lucky! the first film was toy story!!! mine was Monsters Inc. and I was TERRIFIED. im scarred for life now because of those freaky monsters. i was born in the same year!
@ragegrrl i dont think he'd mind. he composed the original song to tell the story of woody and andy in the first film, and it did. this one is more of a party version, you can dance to this one!
@achefefreitas We're the same age. I cried like a freakin' baby during Toy Story 3. It was like I looked up and went, "Holy crap, I'm not a kid anymore." This movie was so well done. I loved everything about it.
@sh8896a That's what Pixar does with us; bring back all our childhood excitements. There's a fantastic tribute video called The Beauty of Pixar, watch it, you'll cry like a baby... again! lol
@Imepicerthenyou ironically enough, Sid is the one who helped the Toys get back home at the end of Toy Story 3, (Sid is the garbage man that is banging on the trash cans near the beginning of the movie.
We had this song in our morning assembly at school this morning. We have a competition to guess the films songs are from. None of the teachers knew this, only yr 12 upwards. The 90's kids!
i was born in 1990 and some of these comments are making me feel old, so i'm listening to disney songs this evening to feel youthful again....even if i am only 21......i want another toy story film at the same time as not wanting one!
I was born 1995 this was the first "Film" ive ever seen and i am a firm believer that ever household in america has a copy of the first and second on vhs thumbs up if you fought back tears when andy drove away at the end
@LancerkiLs I was born in 1997,but we have the VCR version lol.But not the second movie, but yes the third movie too.Theres gonna be a marathon of Toy Story 1 and 2 right now in ABC Family. :)
What I think would have been hilarious is if they made this song for the spanish version of toy story and simply decided to play it on Buzz's spanish angle for a laugh.
While I agree that Toy Story 3, as well as the other 2, was simply amazing and a core part of my childhood, and that making a 4th after ending the 3rd so powerfully might be a grave mistake, I can't help but remember that I thought much the same when I first heard that Pixar was making 3.
While I'm not sure that there should be a Toy Story 4, Pixar has proven that they know what they're doing - if they're gonna attempt to top this, I wish them the best.
I did not really think the movie would be good because it just came out too late and I thought it would be adapted to modern times. But I was totally wrong! This movie has touched my heart like its predecessor, and the end was one of the most emotional that I know. Thank you Buzz and Woody. To infinity and ... so on.
I was so stoked that the toys pretty much already came with my name written on the bottom of their feet. I used to re-enact all the scenes from the first movie and even broke Buzz's arm (It didn't get put back together though. This series reminds my mom of me so much that she not only cried for what happened in the movie, but because she realized that I was grown up and leaving for college too.
My childhood never left me, it's always been apart of who I am, and always will be, thanks Andy, Woody, Buzz, Little Bo Peep, Ham, Slinky, Mr and Mrs Potato Head, Rex, Jessie, Bullseye, and everyone else, including the toy soldiers for giving us a series of movies that grew up with us, and showed us the reality in growing up while touching our inner child. Thanks for 14 great years :)
@09tranm I just turned 20, and I still cry when I watch TS3. Like it's ridiculous. Andy grew up with us, and it makes you think how fast the time really went by. Soon we'll all have our own kids, and Andy will too(even though I know it won't lol).
@LtSeth242 Yeah I'm 20 too. However, unlike Andy when I went to college I actually got myself a Buzz lightyear because they finally made one with the spaceship & what not so it's movie accurate. I didn't cry though at the end of the movie. It wasn't really sad per say it was more bittersweet. tbh and I know this might sound funny but the only movie I ever cried to was during Titanic and I was 6 or 7 at that time. The Toy Story Trilogy though is totally awesome.
I definitely grew up with Toy Story. It was one of the very few movies series that stayed with a generation and grew up with it. Here I am a year later, now 17 and going off to college in 2 weeks, and I just had to see this movie again. I cried alot at the end. Before I go. Before I go, I plan on donating a couple of em to kids who really need toys. So, I hope that my toys can bring them as much joy as they brought me. :D
Even the kid that did Andy's voice grew up with the series. Not many trilogies can be sooooo good, and even more so, cap it at the end with the best of the three in my opinion.
Do you remember wanting to run through the plains of Africa with Simba?
Swing through the jungle with Tarzan?
Go to the enchanted castle with Belle?
Go to the ball with Cinderella?
Ride a magic carpet with Aladdin?
Save China with Mulan?
Shrink to toy size with woody?
Turn into mer-people and go under the sea with Ariel?
If you do or want Disney to bring back movies like this re-post, this note maybe the Disney Corporation will see it and get their heads on straight
@PimpTNigga The funny thing is, what you're trying to do is, 20 years from all the little kids of our generation will make the same post- but with the new movies.
Movies, like people, change. These movies were our classics. While hopefully the kids of today will enjoy them, today's movies will always be the classics they hold in their hearts, for the rest of their lives.
I adore all the movies you talk about, but we must accept the waves of change. Not make pointless sequels to ruin them.
Toy story and 2 was funny but when Toy story 3 came it made me cry at the ending part! I wish there is Toy story 4... I love the Story. It's the best movie! in Disney !
I didn't see Toy Story 3 when it first came out; but today I just caved in and had to watch it! Haha its funny because I'm 17 years old and I guess this movie is generally for a younger audience... so when my friend came over and asked me what I was watching I expected him to laugh, but instead he was like "Are you kidding me? This was THE movie of our childhood, I can't beleive you havn't watched it yet!" lol, that made me feel warm inside :)
Pixar pulled off something I dont think has ever happened; Batting a perfect .1000 with the Toy Story Trilogy. And on top of that, they got progressively better! Pixar are creative geniuses.
I Was 13 when Toy Story 3 came out, my nephew who is two watches them which gives me an excuse to watch Toy Story with him, he has the Woody, Jessie, Buzz and Bullseye toy figures and when he stays and brings them to my house i always make sure they're comfy because i think they come to life, i will never get tired of Toy Story and i hope it goes into the next generation.

Pixar pulled off something I dont think has ever happened; Batting a perfect .1000 with the Toy Story Trilogy. And on top of that, they got progressively better! Pixar are creative geniuses.

I was born a year after Toy Story came out.
I was 3 when Toy Story 2 came out.
