"God" Getter Robo isn't black, it's blue. The only black getter is on Daikessen and Getter Robo Sekai Saigo no Hi. And it's based on the original Getter Robo.

"God" Getter Robo was a nickname given by fans; and was conceptually drawn by both Go Nagai and Ken Ishikawa. This was actually supposed to be the form that represented Shin Getter Robo's true power, but couldn't be controlled properly, which was the reason Getter Robo Ah (Ark) was built.

@terdmongoler SRW GC and SRW R. And it's called God Getter Robo. It's ultimate form is a reference to Devilman, Since Devilman had the exact same color scheme(very dark blue with red wings).
