  • beautiful! the lady is pretty. :p

  • can you come to nj?

  • @yahyaL0V3

Get some clients together and I'll find a salon to work out of!

  • @hairstalent haha, are you being serious or just joking around?

  • @yahyaL0V3

    I'm Serious, :)

  • @hairstalent wow, yay! how many clients do I have to gather? I don't need my hair relaxed for another month. do you have a specific email I should use to contact you?

  • I went on a healthy hair journey about 2 years ago, and my hair was getting in such good condition, I'd get no breakage when I combed it. but now my relaxer stylists have ruined it! first I got it underprocessed, then I got burns for the firs time, then I got underprocessed again, then I got it corrected, then I got my forehead burned. I can not find a good hair stylist in nj and I'm getting sick of it! I have very long thick hair, but I feel the thickness is going away. Q_Q

  • @yahyaL0V3 I'm sorry to hear that, You know I'm only a 2 hour train ride.

  • As an Afro Amer. woman I’ve always been skeptical about any1 chemically processing that doesn’t have the same hair texture as I. Only b/c I felt that if u don’t have the hair, u can’t understand my hair. (I know,it sound ignorant as hell) However u seem 2 have actually studied the art of cosmetology! I definably have admirations for those who KNOW all about hair. Its hard to find a “stylest” (& I use that word lighty) that treats the hair rather than just complete the “do” for the “dough”!

  • @fitLejacque Thank you so much, I appreciate the time you took out to post a positive comment!

  • Ilove it

  • what beauty school did you go to that got you so educated in african hair? this is my dream job!

  • God!I wish you were in the uk. It is nice to see relaxers applied the correct way i.e. close to the scalp but not on the scalp. I would soooooo be your regular client. This is the reason i hate going to the salon for a chemical treatment because I always burn eg no basing on the scalp, just the hairline. I had to start self relaxing which is not the safest but at least I wont burn. I wish more hiar stylist were like you

  • @dupsiebabie

Thanks so much for your comment

  • Now what you need to do is open a salon like this in Boston (where I live)! I love the fact that you took CARE of your client AND their hair.

  • Love your technique... wish you were local, I would definitely be a regular client. Thanks for your videos!

  • This was a very GREAT and informative video I don't go to salons because of just exactly like you said, they made me stay there waaay tooo long and I could see and feel my hair in the comb, so I never looked, or even thought if going to a salon again. But after seeing how much care you take with your clients I think I might try and find a salon that works for me now. So thank you :)

  • @illissa100 That's great , Just keep in mind there are new stylist coming out of schools these day that are more open minded about learning healthy hair care and quality customer service.

    Lets think positive.

    Good Luck!!

  • heyyyy isn't your client crystal rose love?

  • @stasikins Yes it is,

    lov her!

  • @stasikins boy you really just "outed" HER!

  • @luvnmees I'm not sure i know what OUTED means , lol but thanks for the comment

  • Hi Gina I have a question? I've recently decided to let my hair grow out from a bob hair style but I have noticed some breakage. Should I do a protein treatment with my next wash? Or is it more important that I wait until me next relaxer which is 4 weeks out?

  • @mzreal216 You can do a protein on your hair now.Always ollow up with a m moisturizer and be sure to RINSE RINSE AND MORE RINSE that protein out!!!

  • i like my hair dresser but she does take too long, the past 2 times ive been i had to wait 30mins b4 i was in her chair and she wanted to leave in the perm and i was screaming rinse it out! wish mine was more like you!=)

  • interested in your products...please contact me

  • @diosa72478 It will be easier for you to give us a call at the salon, ask for Wendy 203 481 1246

  • you seem to be a good hairdresser !

  • @kamarlight Thanks for your support

  • Where would I find the protein treatment?

  • @marjolynisa You can call the salon on Thursday , we can ship it out to you.

  • what other spray products do your recommend that can be substituted for the protein spray that you use on the clients ends before the relaxer, and all over the hair after the relaxer? thank you very much! I'm doing a relaxer next tuesday.

  • where did you get the hair steamer?

  • @TheKrystalD A Korean company, email me and I can see if I can find the information for you

  • @hairstalent I too would love to know where you purchased that awesome hair steamer?

  • Hi, thank you so much for the video! It was very informative. I appreciate your respect to your clients. I am black and I have had relaxers for years. This year I decided to wear a weave and on occasion I would relax my hair when I took a wee break. I was wondering what you thought of thermal reconditioning on black hair vs. relaxers and Keratin treatments vs. the two. I would so appreciate your professional opinion.

  • @OneLittleGypsy11\Thermal works amazing if done by a professional. So many woman grew out their relaxers in the past 2-3 yrs & now are looking for an alternative, I highly recommend the thermal, Do not recommend nor do I do the Brazilian/ Keratin Treatment be/c of the health issues& as far as relaxers, if they are done correctly & protein is replenish, they too can be successful. A relaxer is not to straighten only to texturize & soften the hair & try stretching every 3months,

  • Do you think the ApHogee Keratin and Green Tea Restructurizer will be a good substitute for the protein spray

  • @nijachild I'm afraid it might dry to fast and make the hair to stiff and hard to work with. I would only spray after you work the relaxer not before.

  • Gina. Girl, you are the bomb. I love that you are willing to be diverse and know how take good healthy care of African American hair, and other ethnicity's as well. I wish I lived in Branford. Great work! Very informative video.

  • @BrownSugaLady86 Thanks for your comment!

  • which brand of relaxer is it that you are using?

  • @blackberry815 I am using Mazani Sensitive scalp relaxer.

  • how long do you allow the hair to process?

  • @blackberry815 It all depends on the condition, previous chemical, and the desire straightness I am looking for.

  • very good an informative relaxer touch up

  • Aren't you applying the relaxer on one side? Unless you section the hair in extremely thin sections?

  • @DeathtotheAshes I am applying the relaxer to one side. When I lift the hair over, the relaxer that is on that one side will seep onto the other. Remember you want to apply as fast as possible and then I always go back into the hair to be sure I covered all the roots.

  • It's bad that I live all away in N.Y.C. I love the way you manage your skills.

  • @Rvoe22 Thank You but do you know you r only 1 1/2 hours away

  • @hairstalent yeah thats true.

  • Hi, I was just wondering how much you usually charge for your relaxer service. Also, how many days in advance do you have to book an appoitmebt usually. I'm in the are and would love to get a relaxer @ your salon

  • @xebexe5695 Our Relaxers start at $85 and includes a protein/moisturizor condition, cut/trim and a blow dry, set or a wrap Give us a call

with the crazy weather we are having, you may be able to get in tomorrow.:)

I would love for my hair to grow longer but it is only at the top of my shoulders. My hair is always shedding and breaking off. It also holds no moisture. What would you recommend for me?

  • I wanted togo to your salon so badly! There are no serious hair salons in Houston its so sad. Anyways, I've wanted todo a protien treatment for the longest time but I dont know what to do, or which brand to buy. Do you have any suggestions

  • @khooouri Yes, I swear by PPT Do shampoo and PPT Do conditioner.

  • honestly at first i was unsure cus i saw u were not of african decent but wow! later i see u did everything perfectly if not better than my stylist. actually i think i can say u did it better cause my stylist gets mad wen i ask her to put protection on my ends. the only thing i wud say is that 6 weeks is too early for me personally. i say the less chemicals the better but my stylist disagrees and wants me to go every 6 weeks. should we compromise for 7?

  • @jazyfe Thanks for the compliments, and I wish stylist would take relazing hair more serious. And you're right, try to hold off as long as you can. I think the only reason why we did her relaxer so soon was because it was the only time we had to do her relaxer and video it at the same time and we didn't want to lie about the timing . :)

So yes try to hold off as long as I can.

  • @marvinandjosh Thanks, I'm happy to share

  • Great video! :)

  • @saffirejuiliet Thanks for the comment!

  • You are a genius. I feel like bopping myself in the forehead. That blow drying tip has helped me out so much. I am transitioning (growing out my relaxer) and having a challenging time blow drying my hair. If I do a round brush, my ends are straight but my roots are still poofy. If I used a denman, my roots would be straight but my ends were poofy, Now that I tried blow drying the ends first then the roots, my hair comes out perfect. I can totally skip the flatiron now. Thank you so much.

  • @danyale06 Wow, I am so happy I can help. I will be posting another blow dry video this week , so come back on and check it out.

  • you said the wash made her hair shine, how did you wash it then?

  • @sexyriri What I mean by that is that the shampoo is so important. If that hair is not clean ,clear of the relaxer, base and protein the hair will not shine, move and feel silky.

  • OMG Awsome... now i so wanna go to a unviersity in conneticut and come and see you :D

  • @diamonds454 :) give me a call when you're here!!

    Yale is 5 minutes away!!

  • @diamonds454 Will You Still Be here in about three more years LOL

  • @diamonds454 Gee i hope so!!!

  • I just relaxed my hair at home and I was wondering if i could use a protein treatment I searched all of google and i didn't get a definite answer and so i skipped I am so sorry I did-not see this before but I am definitely subscribing

  • @Teijibana Any time you apply chemical to your hair you are stripping protein out. I do recommend a protein treatment evey time you do a relaxer, but please be sure to follow up with a moisturizor as well, ok

  • @hairstalent Thank You

  • what is base? can i buy that separate from a relaxer. and whats a good lye relaxer? i use to go to the shop they never asked me anything but what i wanted done! i am so angry i will do it myself! back to the base? whats it called? i subbed by the way u did a good job on hte relaxer. one thing how long has ur clients hair been that legnth? is she retaining legnth? u said she been faithful in coming...

  • wow you know your stuff....really good relaxer

  • @xdeeshx I better after 34 years. Keep in mind I was doing hair back in the Jerri Curl Days. LOL. I've been through the press & curl days, afro cutting-Jerri curls, relaxers, blow outs, scrunches, finger waves, weaves, & now the thermal reconditioning. I refused to do scrunches & finger waves because I knew it would damage the hair . And then Weave became popular. I refused to do weave, be/c we also know that damages hair. Nor will I touch the Brazilian / Keratin treatment.

  • So wait?! What happened to being natural?!?!?!

  • @irreplaceable513 We love natural, there's nothing like mold cutting a natural afro. . Sometimes natural is just to much work and it's just to time consuming for working moms. All I'm saying is that there is an alternative to relaxing hair with only a sodium hydroxide relaxer

  • What kind of protein is that so I can ask my stylist to use it?

  • Oh wow your client is Crystal Love Rose!!! I see her on youtube all the time. NO WONDER her hair is alway slooking amazing. WOW! Like her hair is ALWAYS on point. Good job. When I'm rich, I'll fly to CT just to see you.

  • @PeaceUdo lol, I'll pray for you to win the lotto and then I can become your private stylist!!

  • I agree with everyone. Please expand your company!! We need you in Dallas. Please send your trained beauticians nation-wide!

  • what's the name of the protein treatment that you use in this video?

  • @keishiarenee Noiraudepro is an in-salon protein treatment . Although, I do carry the in- home protein shampoo and conditioners. If you are interested you can either sign up for a SKYPE consultation or go to my forum and we can chat about your hair and I can then ship you the correct products for your hair type.

  • could you tell me what kind of flat iron that was....the blue one

  • I am happy to say that not only do we service Thermal Recondition, we also have other services that we offer. I often compare the thermal to a relaxer~~~to let those that are tired of relaxers know that there is an alternative. So many clients have had bad relaxers, they are now looking for something else and we can provide it . Although, I also believe that if the relaxer is done properly it can also provide a great result , that's why I have chosen to do this video

  • Great video, very professional. So when are you coming to the UK? :)

  • @collafulbutterfly Huhmmm, get a salon and a few clients together and we can talk about it. I have never been to the UK

    :)

  • Wish there were more stylists out there like you!

  • @Calonghorn11 Thanks, I do too, I would love to share my passion about healthy black hair care and thermal recondition on African American Textured Hair with other stylist.

  • Also I noticed the steam machine, and the BONE comb (right?) great tools you got there =D you should post some articles about them, the seamless bone combs, home steam machines (although kinda expensive), protein treatments, ect.

  • come to Chicago!

  • Do they have protein treatments in stores not just salons? and what brand?

  • @daddyslastgirl I believe Protein is sold in stores , but I would very hesitate to buy them Because without knowing how to use them, it can cause more damage than you think. Please keep in mind I am offering SKYPE consultations on my web site, why don't you go on and sign up. After seeing your hair and knowing your past chemical use I can prescribe the right products for you, you can purchase them from Hair's Talent and I can explain how to use them to you

  • Wonderful video! I wish I could find a hair stylist like you in my area! I enjoyed watching this...thanks so much for the info.

  • @angelagraves83 Thank you for your support on my YouTube page. There will be more videos showing Crystal Rose getting a protein treatment and a blow dry.

  • @angelagraves83 There will be more to come, thanks for the compliment

  • @angelagraves83 I love what I do and enjoy sharing, Thanks!

  • This is a great video! Very informative!

  • @SDot2385 Thank you,

keep in mind there will be more to come

  • I love this video. You were very professional and extremely clear about what you are doing and why. If I lived in Connecticut I would be in YOUR chair. You did an awsome job!!!!

  • @29onyx Thank you,

There will be many more to come

so keep an eye open for them.

  • @29onyx Thanks for your support

We would love to do your hair .

By the way, we do pick ups at the train station!!! :)

  • @29onyx Thanks, more videos to come

  • Thanks 29onyx

  • @29onyx Thanks

  • Great tips!!!

  • I'm curious, I know neutralizing is a MUST for thermal reconditioning to lock in the straightness after flat ironing, but does a neutralizing shampoo on sodium hydroxide relaxed hair serve the same purpose? I thought washing it out was enough? Does shampooing with a neutralizing shampoo ensure straighter results? I use ordinary shampoo, and my hair still comes out unsatisfactorily wavy.

  • @DeathtotheAshes Sorry to say , but it is very important to wash your relaxer out with the neutralizing shampoo. Even though some say that air neutralizing is enough, I don't agree. If by chance, after you wash with 2 neutralizing shampoos and you can't remove the base build up then go in and wash with a cleansing shampoo.

  • What relaxer does she use? What type serum and flatiron?

  • @misslou57Please feel free to contact me at thecafebelle@gmail in order to discuss the various products we offer at Hair's Talent Upon receiving your email, you will receive a response from either myself, or the owners of Café Belle (Kristin and Kwan).

  • What relaxer does she use?

  • Very informative! Crystal Rose Love is such a good sport. Your technique reminds me of my own former relaxer stylist.

  • @roshunna Thank You. Crystal Rose is a wonderful person. I am so grateful for my clientele, they have been so supportive over the years.

  • I'm a fan of the featured client's videos, so thanks so much for posting this. It was very helpful and refreshing to see professional hair care at its best! Oh, I wish I lived closer to Branford! :)
