Hmm, I still don't understand why you would suspend the "Skyscrapers". Why not just have them run all the way to the bottom of the pyramid? That way, there is added real estate, and a low possibility of one falling and taking down the whole structure with it. It looks cool and all, but is too inefficient.

The transportation system is awesome though, and if it was applied to a normal pre-existing city (Nodes could be attached to the sides of buildings), we could solve so many traffic problems.

Because Japan has roughly half the US population crammed into land the size of California, which makes population density very high. Japan also has a lot of mountains which makes city space even more scarce, which is why these kind of mega projects are more ideal for small countries like Japan
