@KollisionBR Nope a its a Gradius game fit with old original ideas mixed new with new original ideas.

I assure you Konami doesn't steal ideas for Gradius.

Maybe this Darius game steals the Force Field from Gradius.

@2010gaje Of course Konami doesn't steal Taito's ideas from Darius. I meant to say the shield "resembled" the Silver Hawk's, simply put the most beautiful shield design of all hori shmups IMO. It was supposed to be a compliment.

Now the name "Darius" being a rip-off of "Gradius"? C'monnn :)

And personally, I think that D-arius is a copy of the awesome Gr-adius.

@rhenoroyce The silly nature of the Otomedius series has more in common with Parodius than Gradius, despite the fact it theoretically takes place later in Gradius universe.
