yung di pa nakakaranas ng ganitong sakuna sa buhay nyo! Please pray that it would`nt happen again. Napaka hirap ng dinanas namin noong panahon na e2. Di man kami nakaranas ng mga sira-sirang gamit at bahay sa Maynila. Pero yung troma at takot na dinanas namin ay napaka tindi. Matinding kalungkutan sa mga nakita naming patay at mga sugatan sa TV. yung batang studyanteng nadaganan ng building nilang gumuho. umiiyak, nag mamakaawa! Kaso namatay din Kitang kita namin yun sa TV.

@asured26 tama ka. The most vivid footage I've every seen in my life were the trapped students. Kitang kita ang mga kamay nila sa labas ng gumuhong building. Yung iba may hawak pang ballpen. That and the truckloads of mud covered bodies in Leyte ang mga sakunang di ko makakalimutan.

i was only 5 years old when this happened. i was at home with my mom and i was watching a kiddie show nung naramdaman namin yung tremor. i even remember praying: "Jesus, patigilin mo na po," while i was crying...

well,, anyway, grabe. bilis ng panahon. baguio's ok now. one of the best summer places pa din talaga... :)

FYI. Baguio city is currently celebrating its flower festival "Panagbenga" its an ibaloi word means season of blooming. The concept is when baguio was destructed by this killer earthquake, we people of baguio managed again to stand and bring back the real beauty of the city as now a days baguio has bloomed again.

July 16, 1990. I was a graduating student, 4th Year College of Law. I was being interviewed for the position of Personnel & Administration Manager by Dr. Vinzons Pineda; when the earthquake was felt.

My mother and stepfather were Americans killed in this earthquake. ... They were on their honeymoon and went there to visit my step-fathers family... It only took 45 seconds to change my life forever...She has grandkids she never got to meet.. breaks my heart.

i could very well remember this day. i was 9 years old when this earthquake happened. just a day after my birthday (July 15). this was monday. i was at school and we were having our recess when suddenly the whole classroom began to move like someone's shaking it. we only realized it's an earthquake when our teacher told us to stay down under our desks. we were all scared...

I have memory flashes of the 1990 earthquake, I was a year old and I remember sleeping outside the house with my family in tents, I was wondering why we had all our sofas out in the yard. Anyway my mom was in the parlor sa Gemini, they ran out of that curl neutralizer--then the equake,, she came home with an afro.

@csdr0 : Yes I can recall lot of my memories during my childhood, some, I can even remember in detail---I have a photographic memory w/c i put into good use as an artist. THe earthquake was one of my earliest memories, I had a couple of vivid memories during that time

I still remember that day so well...i was with my Family in PMA at that time and my mother and older brother just arrived from Hyatt Hotel to deliver and pick up some deliveries and Dry Cleans. i just arrived from School SLU (BSC-Mgmt.) early coz that day/week we are on strike against the tuition fee hike... and the earth stood still and quakes like no tomorrow...Good thing that President Aquino at that time implemented "Day light saving Time"...school kids are mostly at home with their family.

Hyatt collapsed due to illegal mine digging under it. Noticed it collapse in the middle and no criminal charges filed. The mining company is the largest producer of gold in the country.

marami, grade 4 ako nu, 4 pm nun dst time, nasa haws ako nun. grabe ang baguio nun, kung saan saan kmi pumipila ng pagkain, sira kasi kalsada paakyat ng baguio nun. after three days...mabaho na ang baguio nun, umulan pa kasi. sa epza, dami namatay at nasunog na bangay
