  • pretty clean :)

  • @Baharkoush : Thanks... :-)

  • Nice Gibson!!!

  • Well done....your action look high though.

  • @van1980 : Thanks... :-) ...that looks higher than it actually is due to the angle the camera was positioned in ... This guitar is very comfortable to play right of the shelf... I never touched it...

  • @pitsxroad It's a beauty. I'm considering downgrading my car for this guitar. Drive a crappy car for a few years but have a guitar to last a lifetime or three. Cheers.

  • @van1980 : you're right... good attitude... this will not leave me before I gave away my last shirt when I end up in poverty... Cheers...

  • really good, Pit

  • @MacLenHarStar : Thanks very much and HAPPY NEW YEAR... Pit... :-)

  • didn't jimmy page play one of these? i recognize the inlays

  • @TheSnickerdoodles : yes, I think so, too...

  • I recently had a new nut & saddle installed on my 1996 J200, and the action heightened VERY slightly.

The difference in volume was amazing - an extra 35-40%. It means a little extra "fight" when fretting, but it's an acoustic, after all, and you need to work a little. Worth it for the extra volume. A low action on these guitars, like too light a gague of strings, will not produce the volume they are designed to give.

    Long live the Gibson J200 / SJ200!!

  • ...i think you have your action a bit too high...curve neck? a too high bone?

anyway you are really good...but think about your set up...your j-200 is asking for this ;-)

  • @simonfowler81 : thanks for your comment... the neck is straight and the bone I think it's OK as it is, too... at least for me ;-) ...I in general prefer not too low set-ups... and it's no electric guitar... Cheers, PIT... :-)

  • good job ... and what a beautiful guitar!!

  • @wolfchimneyrock : Thanks very much for your kind words... it was always a guitar of my dreams for nearly 20 years until I made it happen in 2008 to get one of these SJ-200s... Cheers, PIT... :-)

  • i love this guitar!!!!

  • @MrMakore : so do I, too... :-) Cheers, PIT

  • good job!

  • @zellerauer1 : Cheers... PIT... :-)

  • is this acoustic electric? How does it sound plugged in?

  • yes, it's got a pick-up and a small volume control wheel in the upper part of the soundhole (hardly visible if you don't know where it is)...

Actually I have never tried it really with an amp or a PA... I bought it for the acoustic sound... Just plugged it briefly to my Bluesbreaker tube amp... and it sounded fine...

    Cheers, PIT... :-)

  • @pitsxroad

hi,listen , all Gibsons SJ 200 got Plug? or.. ?

  • @DurtyHarrys : The "Modern Classic" series (which is mine from) and the current "Standard series do have a piclkup... the more historical re-issues of the "True Vintage" seires don't have a pick-up system... so not all SJ-200 do have one... Cheers, PIT... :-)

  • the rithm sounds sooo goood, my friend.

and you have a beautiful dreamy guitar.

(mine is a stagg) ;) but i can't stand without her.

    congratulations, really nice cover.

  • Thank you for your kind words... Cheers, PIT... :-)
