Yeah my very first dog came from a store he was probably from a mill becuz he was a purebred min pin but had a hole in his lung and we fixed him at the vet to late

Okay petland doesnt get puppies from puppy mills i have had many friends who their female dogs accidentally got pregnant and she brought the puppies to be sold at petland. The dog is shivering because maybe you are scaring it putting that camera in its face. And also the dogs are kept on wire grates so they dont poo and pee all over the stuff it just falls through and you pull the tray out and wash it off, easy clean up of messes. Dogs also have fur for a reason to keep them warm, their not cold

Dogs and cats with so much fur falling out that their bald.. Cuts and burn marks everywhere.. It's HORRIBLE. If a puppy was treated that way and looked that way it wouldn't be able to be sold! Plus the shivering thing could be a muscle spasm or they could have just turned the air down and the puppy is adjusting. Geez..

You guys do know that most, if not all puppies and kittens found in those stores are ones that have been abused and removed from abusive homes. The dog looks miserable because that's how it was treated for probably all its life. You should be happy it at least has somewhere to sleep and not be abused. Yes it's true that there is no blanket, but dogs have fur for a reason.
@lanceeH Puppies that are removed from homes and abusive situations are done so by animal cops and the like, and are put in shelters if they are deemed adoptable, and put down if they aren't. Shelters do not sell to stores. I don't know if you've ever looked at the age of the puppies in the stores, but guess what, once they get past that adorable puppy stage, the store sends them off to the shelter, untrained and set up to develope behavior issues w/o it due to the type of kenneling @ the store
the number one cause for dogs being turned into a shelter is people deciding that the dog is too difficult w/ its behavior, and don't bother to train it. Those puppies from the store that end up in the shelter, are twice as likely to end up in an abusive situation or back in the shelter regardless. Pet stores buy from puppy mills, and from second hand buyers who buy puppies from breeders, sell to mills, and then sell to the stores. Most store puppies have eye ear and skin infections
@lanceeH yep, but i have one question...how do you know that? if they told you that or that's what they say, then, they lied.most if not ALL of the cat's or dogs come from mills puppy mills.That puppys parents are probably in a tiny wire cage,sick,with no food,dirty water,stepping on their poop,doing it all day long and if not,being FORCED to do it.there is a 98% that all dogs in pet shops come from puppy mills.their parents don't have the luck to get out of there at all, that is until they die.
@lanceeH so the ONLY place you can make sure that you will get a dog or cat that was abused by their owner,found on the street or abandoned and you wan't to help them, is going to the dog shelter.that's the place where you can actually save them from being put to sleep but if you buy a dog from a petshop, your just leaving an empty cage for another dog to be neglected.
