@EileenxMarie Because then you're sticking half-dry wax back in your clean wax. Also, you're building up on your sticks and making it harder to lay a thin layer of wax on your skin.

u cant apply wax over the same area at all , if u dont wax it u dont wax, otherwise it will pull ur skin off, im studying to be an esthet , i know , it hurts n looks bad .

it doesnt really matter if you double dip your stick if you are just waxing for personal use. if you are sharing the pot with friends or family members though, your going to want to avoid double dipping

use the smooth end of the butter knife when you spread the wax on ur arms or legs, it makes it a lot easier than a popsicle because it doesn't stick to your skin :), great tutorial though, btw try the roller wax machines you can wax ur arms and legs within 15 minutes, they are very fast and convenient

If you are hairy as hell.. then yes- waxing is the only solution. But probably most of you girls .... aren't hairy as hell. So I suggest NOT to wax off your hair from your arms for example. The minute you wax it off... you wil lhave to repeat that action for the rest of your life.. or the hair will grow thicker... I myself.. don't wax my hands... And no need for you to do it either...

@mayaraalmeidab It just seems like that. When you wax you pull out the whole hair down to the root which makes it grow in a lot slower making it seem like it is thinner. When you shave you only take the very top off so it grows back almost instantly which is why it seems so thick. but if you waxed and let your hair grow out and then shaved and let your hair grow out it would reach the same amount of thickness just at different rates.

@Ingelsi Waxing over a length of time helps the hair to grow thinner and less hair will grow...i'm from an ethnic backround and shaving under and on my arms never did the trick..it was quite embarressing..since i started waxing ...the hair is thin and grows back at a monthly rate. made my life sooo much easier. also i am a beutician.

@StephanieKate26 if you are a beautician then you should know that neither waxing nor shaving affects the thickness of the hair shaft because the hair follicle beneath the skin always stays the same size. It might just appear thinner because of the length of time it takes to grow back.

Hey hun, good job. Just a suggestion. If you buy tongue depressors in stead of popsicle sticks to apply the wax, it will go twice as fast:) I'm an esthetician, and that is what I use on bigger surfaces.

ive waxed my arms for years with the pre made wax strips!!! but last week i seemed to have ripped off patched of skin :( the edges of skin were peeling off and everything my fake tan over it left big white patches.. i painted the white patches in with more fake tan and now i have birth mark looking patches on my arms... sigh
