@Sweeda88 4-6 gal is not plenty for a Betta. In nature they are found in shallow water but they still have an enormous amount of volume to swim in. The idea that Bettas don't need much volume(gallons) is a myth used to sell people small Betta tanks. They are no different than any other type of fish in that they enjoy room to swim.
@AquariaDesign My beta gets Haven he lives in a 10 gallon all alone but all my betas have in the past I dont like having them in a small 1 gallon tank
i always thought air bubbles in a salt tank wasnt the best idea...when the air escapes whatever (air stone ect...) the salt fills in the holes and over a short time severely clogs the whatever.
@gun870 air bubble is not the best thing in a saltwater reeftank, meaning with live corals. if the air gets trapped underneath live corals, it causes the corals to rot and die, as if fish out of water. this biorb has no live corals.
@shepardland I would do the following. If you have test kits test the water, your ph might not be the recommend, test as well nitrate, ammonia and nitrite. Normally the better remedy is: clean your glass, do a water changing followed by filter cleaning. The filter when is very dirty does not fulfill is job correctly. If biorb is 60 don´t change more than 10 liters per week, is a lot already. Check for overfeeding and overstocking. Ph correction is different from a marine to a sweet water tank
I was thinking about buying one of these, But I wanna know where i could find one and the price. Also where you bought the decor. And i was also wondering what kind of fish is in the 60 liter, clownfish? And how many could I put in thier at a time.
Question (didn't go through all comments so sorry if repeat) I do rock sculpture for my aquariums (3d as mounted on black plastic - real rock and overhang on tank back) I am wondering how you created your back ground? It's fantastic! And I would assume one could get a plastic tube and do a rock sculpture around that PIPE, lol (not you maybe but I am considering this for one lone betta) (she is in a 20 with rock background and loves it and moss on rocks et al) ( I do huge sculptures )
Why Does the clown Fish look like he is struggling. I am thinking of getting a BioOrb 60 with the Marine kit I already have a Freshwater Eclipse tank.I chose BioOrb because it looks easy to set up as a Marine tank Is it worth it. was it easy this is gonna be my first Marine tank
@MrMatizusk Beause he IS... not sure but looks like he needs a calmer place to rest if need be. People forget that in nature there are great choices in any system - ocean, rivers, all have areas of force and areas of calm. Even Salmon running upstream rest under overhangs in white water (of course they die later exhausted at life's end but still need a calm in this most turbulent water on their trip up) (used to hike along the mighty Rogue River in Oregon and see this amazing feat!)

@sayuridp Yes. When i look at it first looked a little bigger than i thougt. Do a model paper and put in the place you desire to have an idea of the size. I did that.
You should get some small Freshwater tetras in the other biorb, or a betta. I agree that it is too small for marine fish, but small tetras need very little swimming space. I would recommend neon tetras for their looks.
I'm not nuts about the Biorb. It affects swimming patterns negatively, and is just a generally cramped environment for fish. There is less "swimmable" space, than there would be in a traditional aquarium, despite the same volume...
you shoud try diy... i bought a fish bowl whith 3 euros in a 1.2.3.euro shop, made a diy filter by puting a hole in the end for the air tube and conected whith a glass tube whith holes and spunge for filtration... i used a led light bought iin the chinese shop... u can make live rocks yourself... you just need to buy 1 kg and buy normal lava rock wich will become live rock in 2-3 months you woud have saved a lot.. even if mine is only 2 gallons.. i spent in hole not more than 30 euros
well real live rock is expensive. 22 euros per kilo, so only in live rock i spend 220 euros. The aquarium costs about 230 euros the big one, then there are heaters and some boirb decoration. I think in hole i spent about 700 euros in the big and 130 euros in the small.
Your breathing id deafening

@sherryazure i just chose the best live rock to fit in to each other. Live rock is 100 % natural so it gives a natural look

It would be cooler if the big pipe in the middle was shorter a bit
cjoIIProductionz 1 year ago
@cjoIIProductionz But would create even more turbulence and flow. I think there must be a way to slow the flow for different fish ie outer valve.
sherryazure 1 year ago
@sherryazure flow is correct could be even more

how much did it cost to convert ur biorb to marine
lfclikewalfc 1 year ago
@lfclikewalfc live rock is expensive , just used live rock not dead rock. Spent about 300 e extra in the convertion. I don´t use biorb marine stuff.

take out all those fake plants, the live rock alone would look 1000x better.
