creators don't seem to care about gameplay as much anymore :P they just seem to be repearting the same thing...Graphics are good don't get me wrong, but what really sells a game is the ability to make gameplay amazing..stop looking through the same window everyday..theres other windows inthe house :P
I don't know why, but even in 720HD, this demo didn't look very good and the framerate was very choppy and slow. It looked as they were barely pushing 20fps in some scenes.
@rensoedbt328 yes, but if u intend on playing games on PC, you are really into it (most likely), so you put money into it. Either way, i personaly get a better experience from a PC game compared to its Console counterpart. But, ofcourse thats prefrence. I spent 650$ on my rig, (granted, the PC was 500, prebuilt gaming from ibuypower, (didnt know how to build then) and the gfx card was 150, and i can outproform my brothers xbox. If i built it all, it would cost 375 bucks. Not too shabby ;)

GTA 4, forget it. Its a horrible console port. Reccomends a quadcore 2.4 ghz. Thats the only game i know that RECOMENDS a quadcore in that year GTA 4 came out. I dnt meet the minimum.. 3.2 ghz dual. I have a 3 ghz, and a 480 PSU so OC isnt an option for me. Especially when my 5770 needs 450. the card is bottlenek
The PS3 has a better Chipset than the XBOX 360 but there are no better graphics because most games are programmed on/for the XBOX 360. The only difference: PS3: Blu-Rays, XBOX 360: Double-Layer DVDs.
By the way... Play the DEMO if you wanna see the graphics on the PC :)

PC has more advantages for games yeah...you can mod everything...change rules, improve graphics etc but it cost. Console is "cheap" and yeah there is a little difference in graphics but i only have to care about releases and no to get the ultimate graphic card or processors for every new game.

after read a lot of comments...PC looks way better than consoles but consoles are always playing games in HD Graphics in HDTV´s like mine 46" after 5 years and games looks amazing and runs over 30 fps or more when the game is in 1080p (60 fps)....so i paid one time 300 euros...with a game included,5 years ago playing HD games...but if you want to play this kind of games you need to buy new Graphic card, Ram, Processor, etc...almost 600 euros and more every time...

But the real question is: Will the PC be getting at least CryEngine 2 graphics? even now most machines have trouble running Crysis on a solid 60 fps when mass physics happen, and also, even with the downgraded graphics, will consoled be playing this at 30 fps, or at 60?
@SonarWavePulse I think that the graphics on PC will be much better than this TBH and that is why they aren't showing anything from PC. (It's probably to make console gamers think that they are getting the best of the best) Alot of developers already do that. The only reason machines have trouble with Crysis now-a-days is because all the stress goes on the GPU because Cryengine 2 only uses 1 core. Cryengine 3 has multi-core support. And I doubt consoles could run this at a steady 60fps.

Microsoft should kill the Xbox 360. You can only fit so much data on a dual layer DVD. That's why games usually look better on a PS3 (take FF13 for example). The PS3 discs hold so much more data, they can use higher resolution textures.
It's way past time for the Xbox 720 or whatever it's going to be called. They need to use at least 4 cpu cores, more memory, a better disc technology, and possibly use a dual GPU video card.

Some PS3 games look better than Xbox 360 because they can fit higher resolution textures on a blue-ray disc. Dual-layer DVDs are severely limited on space, especially when they want most games to fit on a single disc.
A great example of this is FF13. The textures used on the PS3 are 128s while the Xbox360s are 64s.

@4Orange2Bud0 Here's the truth for you. PS3 has a 4Ghz Cell processor co-developed between Sony, IBM, and Toshiba. It's a cross between a CPU and a GPU, which is why it handles media so much better than standard processors. While Xbox360 has more raw processing speed, the media enhancements with the Cell CPU and the RSX 'Reality Synthesizer' GPU make up for it. This is, combined with larger Blu-Ray discs, is why PS3 can use larger textures.
Larger textures are important for all display sizes.
Guys, look at the video, particularly at the scene at 1:20 where it switches from xbox to ps3. Its pretty obvious there that the ps3 renders frames better and draws objects in more crisp detail. 7 cores vs 2. do the math? Open GL vs DX9? again, Open GL is a far superior technology. ESPECIALLY for drawing textures and Anti Aliasing. Besides, if you guys thought halo 3 was bad at cooking the insides of the 360 (causing red ring) Crysis will cause the red ring of fire... :O

@liltp404 Actually your wrong, the ps3 does have AA, just less than the 360, about a 2xAA and 4xAA difference, but at 1080p the effects of AA are less visible and needed, hence why the ps3 has fast FPS. And OpenGL is better technology, before calling somebody a dumb shit make sure you aren't one first. Google open GL 3.0. I wish they started making games coded for Open GL now that its the best technology, even better than dx11.

But the real question is: Will the PC be getting at least CryEngine 2 graphics? even now most machines have trouble running Crysis on a solid 60 fps when mass physics happen, and also, even with the downgraded graphics, will consoled be playing this at 30 fps, or at 60?

@SonarWavePulse I think that the graphics on PC will be much better than this TBH and that is why they aren't showing anything from PC. (It's probably to make console gamers think that they are getting the best of the best) Alot of developers already do that. The only reason machines have trouble with Crysis now-a-days is because all the stress goes on the GPU because Cryengine 2 only uses 1 core. Cryengine 3 has multi-core support. And I doubt consoles could run this at a steady 60fps.

Microsoft should kill the Xbox 360. You can only fit so much data on a dual layer DVD. That's why games usually look better on a PS3 (take FF13 for example). The PS3 discs hold so much more data, they can use higher resolution textures.
It's way past time for the Xbox 720 or whatever it's going to be called. They need to use at least 4 cpu cores, more memory, a better disc technology, and possibly use a dual GPU video card.

Some PS3 games look better than Xbox 360 because they can fit higher resolution textures on a blue-ray disc. Dual-layer DVDs are severely limited on space, especially when they want most games to fit on a single disc.
A great example of this is FF13. The textures used on the PS3 are 128s while the Xbox360s are 64s.

@freshtendrills @freshtendrills lol nah Im just playing with you fresh I didnt mean that, personally I havent noticed much difference but I heard the difference is that the 360 has more antialiasing stuff than the ps3, its what makes the lines smoother, and something about the ps3 having better lightning, but I have them both and I really wouldn't know bout that, they look almost the same, still PC defeats them both by years both in gameplay(player made mods and such) and graphics. a PS3 runs on an P4 1core prozessor clocked at 3,6 (or 3,4 cant remember) and a graphic accelerator from nvidia´s GeForce 7 series (comparable to an 7900GTX)
while the 360 uses an 3 core 3,2 ghz prozessor and a graphic accelerator comparable to an HD 2900.
im not a 360 fanboy, i own both console´s.
and the higher resolution textures does only make sense if you got an 3 Meter long Plasma at home, otherwise there will be no difference

@4Orange2Bud0 Here's the truth for you. PS3 has a 4Ghz Cell processor co-developed between Sony, IBM, and Toshiba. It's a cross between a CPU and a GPU, which is why it handles media so much better than standard processors. While Xbox360 has more raw processing speed, the media enhancements with the Cell CPU and the RSX 'Reality Synthesizer' GPU make up for it. This is, combined with larger Blu-Ray discs, is why PS3 can use larger textures.
Larger textures are important for all display sizes.

Guys, look at the video, particularly at the scene at 1:20 where it switches from xbox to ps3. Its pretty obvious there that the ps3 renders frames better and draws objects in more crisp detail. 7 cores vs 2. do the math? Open GL vs DX9? again, Open GL is a far superior technology. ESPECIALLY for drawing textures and Anti Aliasing. Besides, if you guys thought halo 3 was bad at cooking the insides of the 360 (causing red ring) Crysis will cause the red ring of fire... :O

@liltp404 Actually your wrong, the ps3 does have AA, just less than the 360, about a 2xAA and 4xAA difference, but at 1080p the effects of AA are less visible and needed, hence why the ps3 has fast FPS. And OpenGL is better technology, before calling somebody a dumb shit make sure you aren't one first. Google open GL 3.0. I wish they started making games coded for Open GL now that its the best technology, even better than dx11.
