I agree with the other guitarist who says your lessons are some of the best around. All of the guitar instruction is geared toward playing scales and arpeggios as fast as possible. I happen to think motivic development is much more important. You use the bass as a tool to express your musical ideas rather than thinking like a bass player. Musical ideas should always come first.
Even as a guitar player, your lessons are probably the most useful I have ever found on youtube. Your are a pretty cool dude. All of your lessons are totally excellent.
I'd like to have your take on the point this guy makes about the importance of learning both major and minor pentatonics in How to play guitar, explained in 20 mins part 2. Seems to make sense, although I know very few about harmony.
It would be cool if you could show your fingerings slower so we could see how you move across the strings and around the fretboard. You do the concept clearly, but the mechanics are hard to see. good job though.
Interesting and enjoyable as always! Would look forward to some pointers on exercises for fluidity and dexterity - something I'm shedding at the moment. Overflowing with melodic ideas but sometimes unable to get them across due to technical shortcomings!
You're a very good teacher. I'm going to college for bass and you obviously know your stuff and you can really apply it! Great job!
