The episode when Olivia was born continues to be the most memorable for me. The elderly woman in the episode is every black person's grandmother, and we ALL cry whenever we view her death scene. I can no loger watch it since my own grandmother's death.
I hate how they don't use the more common pronunciation of "Charlene." Most people pronounce it as "Shar-lene."

Droves of killer bees are headed for the U.S. I bet our bees are scared to death.
Charlene was so kind and sweet and loving and just such a southern woman.

Charlene is one of the dearest souls to ever grace the TV screen. I love Jean Smart. I always thought she was one of the most under-rated actresses.
