Matt actually has LSAT scores of 179, 178, 177, and 176. He's annoyed by the fact that his highest LSAT score was his first (the 179). He thought he was sliding when he got the 177 and 176, but he recently rebounded with a score of 178 on the September LSAT.

His original score was 179, this year he got a 178.
