Dear barney, i tried to move to mayberry. It was ruined by rampant criminals, pickpockets and people trying to tackle me on the street doing nothing. I even got a look at the local cement pond. It was terrible. U know..i wish there was a mayberry somewhere. I had one mayberry "holiday". Thats what i will always remember.
Barney Fife was the best supporting character in the history of television...could have been the Don Knotts show if things were different...Floyd, Goober, Gomer, Ernest T, Otis and of course Opey and Aunt Bee were fabulous in this wonderful down home 30 minute spin of life...I wish that things were still this simple
there will never be another andy griffith show. unless there is sex and killing and cussing in shows today then kids just arent interested. there is nothing like being in the grocery store hearing a five year old say the F word for some candy. i remember growing up it wasnt nothing to get my ass beat right there in the check out line for asking for something. lol and kids today get away with the F word? man times sure have changed. new laws suck today. lets go back to when we was kids. godbless.

When he goes into lecture mode and his voice finds that sing-song pitch he's so funny I almost can't stand it. I'm sitting here rolling out of the chair laughing. I had the great honor to meet Don Knotts once, and shake his hand and tell him what a great comic genius he was.
