We logged over 36,000 miles the first six months that we were in country. This was in 2005 when things were still a little "warm" over there. Anyway, YES, we were busy. There were weeks on end that we really didn't get much of a moment to ourselves. First and foremost WE ALWAYS DID OUR JOBS. Having said that, we would occasionally have a day or two to screw around. We took about two hours out of one such day, and made this video. So enjoy.

i have a question about ied's and who better to ask than the ied hunter lol, how in the everloving fuck, do they detonate the things, if they can sit there for weeks on end and go off when a convoy comes by without beeing ran over, plus u were throwing them around with no result lol, someone has to be watching them right?

@FrankfortHigh depends, keeps changing as the combat evolves. Mobile phones were used a lot but are being jammed by the convoys a lot more. Some of these used laser door alarm style detectors, so they could be remotely armed as the convoy approaches, then set off when the vehicle crosses the beam. Some anti-personnel ones have used very crude pressure plates (2 contacts and some kind of spring), while I'm sure some have used induction like the sensors at traffic lights. Some by local switch.
