Sonor snare drum comparison HLD590 & 588 Signature/Phonic

thank you for this... i have a HLD 588 myself and i love the shit out of it, but recently i had to change the head and noticed a pretty significant bow in the top rim, and i wasn't sure if it would effect her tone at all... its good to hear another one.

you can definitely hear that the hld590 has more balls and especially more bottom end and power but the hld588 has a very nice sound .

cool video, I always wondered how my 588 would compare to the 590 I have yet to acquire. They are very similar but I like the 590 more

Love it! Thanks for taking the time to do this! I do hope one day to own a 588. Just ordered a Sonor Artist Bronze snare from Germany and should be here later this week. Can't wait. Your 590 is in amazing condition you are a lucky man. Mine has some minor copper wear and a bit of pitting. How can anybody not love them though??

My 590 is nearly perfect, there where issues with pitting around 1990 but Sonor took care of it for me. Nothing pitting now. Have fun with your Artist Bronze!!! I haven't bought a NEW drum since my 590 back in 1988!!!
