ati low performing? the technologies such as eyefinity and DX11 support absolutely rape any of the current cards offered by nvidia. Not to mention the price-performance ratio is so much better than nvidia cards. Sorry but atm ati is alot better than nvidia

I dunno i think its pretty badass man. I dont tote mine anywhere, but it'd be sick for the house. I really dig my amd system, and I like it better than my intel systems of once ago.

I can see why intel fans scream about being better, and maybe there really is a big difference on paper and you get what you pay for, but with AMD you get more than what you pay for. I like the thought of all hardware designed by one company. (basically)

Intels server chips have had a lot of problems and they still simply can't cope with the bandwidth that AMD chips can. Also the way that AMD CPU's comunicate to the rest of the hardware through the motherboard's direct interconnect technology, means that they are also more efficient.

yadayada...On paper they look better, but since 2006 and AMD proc hasn't come within 30% of its intel counterpart, especially with the new i7 from intel...Intel quads now are effectively twice as fast as AMD's fastest.

Checkout the Phenom II's. They are reported to overclock to 6ghz on LN2. Even plays Crysis at that speed :)

But they aren't out yet. Q1 2009 will be a whole new story, plus intel will have 2n'd gen socket 1366 processors some time in late '09 I think. And who then hell uses LN2 for anything but overclocking. to run it 24/7 you'd need a more mainstream compressor system (phase change) and would probably only get 5ghz.

AMD's management coughed up bad. Did they have the resources to lead two teams? A dual core and a quad core team simultaneously?

Ideally, the dual core would've been introduced pre quad and most bugs should've been sorted out with the dual core team.

AMD's price/performance ratio for the last 3 machines I've built has been better than Intel...so far.

With millions of users still buying cheap to manufacture cases for extraordinary mark-ups, why would they possibly want to fill the market with such awesome looking cases? Plus, it's not awesome when it's not unique...so. The Sword case, for example... there are a few better cases on the market as far as functionality goes. The unique access is what makes this case sell.
