Actually I shouldn't have liked this show (I'm from the late eighties, not the early nineties), for me this represents the 'new' generation of cartoons where the producers try to make their cartoon & its characters 'modern, hip & young'. Also I'm a big fan of Donald Duck & in general don't like when my childhood-memories are 'changed', (I always prefer nostalgia) however I have to admit I did enjoy this cartoon a lot!!

Ohhhh... I loved all of these cartoons as a child, but I think I would appreciate them so much more now that I've been deprived of this style for so long, just surviving with Kingdom Hearts. Kind of sad that the only time we get to see anything new with Donald, Goofy, and Mickey Mouse is on a video game where they're all too busy being badasses to really be themselves. Still grateful for it, though... At least it's something.

I....honestly don't remember this show. I looked it up and I soon figured out why. Turns out this show didn't last long and was shut down after 39 episodes.  Also apparently there were "controversies" about it NOT being connected to Duck Tales but even as I kid I knew that.

@skellington15 Wow that's what happened to this show? I really loved it back then. I always thought that this was a connection to Duck Tales too. I just assumed that the boys went back to living with Donald in their pre-teen years. Even if there was no connection, I still love it just as much. The 90s were so kind to us. If only 2009-2011 didn't piss me off so much with their lack of decent cartoons. The only good cartoon now is Phineas and Ferb. :(

@AviaSkye If I remember correctly, Donald is the uncle & Scrooge is the nephew's great-uncle. In Ducktales, Donald goes into the Navy & leaves the boys with his uncle.

Darkwing Duck is a separate show with no connections except that Launchpad McQuack was his sidekick & he was the friend/pilot in Ducktales. Also, Ducktales took place in Duckberg, Calisota (fictional suburban town & state), Darkwing Duck was in St. Canard, which is a metropolitan city.

If you look at what the CEO of CN's plans originally were, he was gonna oust Cartoons by half. It's sad...

I hated this show. It was so much different from Ducktales, which is what I was expecting when I watched this as a kid. The humor was different, more black comedy then slapstick, and what was the deal with the entire supporting cast (daisy excluded) being human?!?!

Mickey was probably considered sacred territory- they didn't want to monkey around with the face of their company... however, while recently flipping through tv channels, I've spotted some God-awful CGI pre-school type of show featuring Mickey Mouse, so I guess they've changed their thinking (in the interest of maintaining the character's popularity among younger generations).
