I love the literal translations of Asian languages! I'm taking Chinese, and "ni hao" (hello, obviously) literally means "you good". Oh, and they have this greeting that I think is "Ni chi fa ni ma?" (spelling is probably wrong) that is supposed to be along the lines like "how are you?" or "What's up?" in the English language, but it literally means "Have you eaten?" or "Have you been fed?"
